Why are there so many denominations/divisions in Christianity?
Why do we hate other denominations so much?
Hear me out!
No church is true
No denomination is right
No Pastor/Priest/Preacher has got it all figured out.
So, stop this civil war!
There are many Catholics who are sincere as they trust in their Savior Lord Jesus Christ and have received grace but there are also those Catholics who ritually follow tradition.
Similarly, there are sincere Protestants who walk by faith and there are those who just warm up church benches and forget God on the weekdays.
Lord Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." ~John 14:6
Lord Jesus is the only TRUTH.
The best we can do is to get closer to that Truth daily by examining ourselves.
Scripture says "Examine yourself (1 Cor 11:28)" and "Test everything (1 Thess 5:21)".
So, examine yourself with scripture, see how much you rightly follow God, and test your religious authority with scripture.
The scripture is the biggest authority.
If anyone preaches anything other than what the scripture says, do not listen to them.
As mentioned earlier, 'Fact check it with the Bible.'
Remember, these scriptures, "Heaven and Earth will pass away but My words will not pass away." ~Luke 21:33
"Even if we or an angel from heaven preaches a different kind of gospel to you than what we preached to you, let him be accursed." ~Gal 1:8
It's a humble request, STOP DENOMINATIONAL HATE! Worship our Lord Jesus together in Spirit and Truth (John 4:23 ) and in one mind and one Spirit (1 Cor 1:10, Phil 2:2 and 1 Peter 3:8), that's what we as Christians need to do in this generation.
Human nature causes division but by walking in the Spirit we can overcome division.
Say it with me
I am not a Catholic
I am not a Protestant
I am a Christian, a Christ follower
That's all that matters.
