Rylen:

I hide the urge to laugh, teasing Alvin is always fun.

"Hey-they're here." I could see Nicole and Alexi right from the entrance with ease. When Alvin immediately turns around, I grin at his reaction.

"Come on, let's go." I push him up to stand, Alvin frowns but literally just goes along with it.

When we are just a few meters from them, someone drunk bumps into Alexi. There she goes again, Nicole looks like she is ready to grab the other by the hair. Both Alvin and I hastily approached them.

Nicole's voice raises but Alexi is trying to calm her down, saying that she is fine. But I could see that Nicole could not brush her displeasure.

Alexi brush off her wet jacket. Nicole starts to get angry, but Alexi tries to calm her down. She pulls Nicole as she allows the two girls to walk away.

When Alvin calls Alexi, I look at Alexi too before switching to Nicole. She still looks back at the girls that bump into Alexi just now, before she turns her attention to Alexi. And I follow her gaze but mine to Alvin.

Ah. They are too close.

Nicole and I look at each other at the same time, before she pretends to clear her throat and bring the two of them back.

I see Nicole give me a sign as her eyes widen and her head tilt towards Alvin and Alexi. She's thinking exactly what I am thinking.

"Well...Rylen if you don't mind, would you show me the way where I can get a drink? I desperately need one since I enter." Nicole comes close to my side and I immediately catch up with her intentions.

"Owh-sorry, my bad. Come on, Nick... I will show you." I nod at her, "Alvi...just stay put with Lexi. I'll get you two drinks too." I say and I wink towards Alvin direction.

As I give Nicole a sign, she tags along side to side with me. "Wow the tension was insane." Nicole whispers as she leans closer. I don't have to lean down because she perfectly at my hearing level. Oh, I just noticed that she is tall.

"I know, even from across the room, I could feel the heat radiates." I whisper back and both of us chuckle.

I once again catch on her tattoo when she pushes back her long wavy hair. But she once again another step in front of me and says, "I like your tattoos, by the way. Do you have any places that you recommend in town? I would love to check it out." Nicole says and pulls my hand into her grip.

I'm actually flinching because it was sudden when she held my hand. She focuses on the tattoos on my right hand. "Yeah-of course. I knew a few, but I can show you where I usually go." I stammer at first. Nicole's eyes widen and she nods violently, liking the idea. I'm easily smile upon seeing her enthusiastic response.

When we arrive at the food and drinks corner, Nicole gasps at the amount of food. "Wuuu...you must spend a lot on the food." She approaches closer, her hands pick up the fruit punch first. "This is my type of party. I know the drinks are the most important but the food choice is a must too." She adds and empty the fruit punch.

I laugh at her. "Right? I agree, thank god they listen to my suggestions on the matter." I am relieved to hear her comment. "You should try the mini tarts, they exceptionally delicious."

Nicole flips her hair back to look at me. "Don't mind me. I will try everything here tonight, not only the exceptionally tarts. I want all of it."

I shake my head at her remark. It makes me happy that she enjoys the food. "I was planning to do the same, Nick. You've read my mind." I say, my brows lift at her and her lips curl up.
