-HEIR-
"the title of Trikova is destined to end with her, just as it began with her."##
Sairah stands at the edge of the bridge, the sea stretching out endlessly before her, shimmering beneath the setting sun. The breeze carries the salty scent of the water, and for a moment, she feels a sense of calm wash over her. Bellamy stands beside her, close enough that their arms brush against each other, but neither of them says a word. They simply take in the view, both lost in their thoughts.
Sairah has heard many stories about the sea people, Luna's people, but she had never set foot near these waters until now. The stories were always filled with mystery, tales of a peaceful existence far removed from the violence that shaped the rest of their world. Sairah had always been curious, yet life had never given her the chance to see it for herself—until this moment.
Luna wasn't exactly a friend, though. They weren't strangers either. Sairah and Luna had trained side by side with Lexa, along with the other nightbloods, preparing for the inevitable battle that would come with the conclave. Back then, they had been close. Sairah could remember Luna's quiet strength, her resolve to fight for a better world.
But everything changed on the day of the conclave. Luna ran, leaving behind the bloodshed and the crown. Sairah had seen that as nothing short of cowardice, abandoning her duty, her people, and everything they had been trained to protect. From that moment on, Luna was no longer a friend in Sairah's eyes, but a deserter. A coward who chose her own peace over the survival of others.
Since then, Sairah and Luna had never crossed paths. It was almost as if they were two ships lost at sea, moving in different directions, always missing each other. But soon, fate would bring them face to face again. Just not today.
For now, Sairah and Bellamy had chosen a different path. They were returning to Arkadia, leaving Clarke and Roan to continue their search for Abby and the others. The sea may have held its own mysteries, but Sairah's heart was set on returning home, to the battles and decisions that awaited them there.
Sairah looks up when she hears the familiar sound of footsteps approaching from behind. Her eyes meet Clarke's as the blonde stops next to them, arms crossed, her gaze scanning the vast expanse of the sea.
"We're going to take the rover back to camp," Bellamy informs her, his voice calm as he drapes his arm over Sairah's shoulders, pulling her a little closer to him. It's a simple gesture, but one that brings her comfort.
Clarke nods in response, but her expression remains unreadable, her eyes distant. After a moment, she breaks the silence. "Octavia?" she mutters, her voice soft but filled with unspoken concern.
Bellamy nods, letting out a deep sigh as his gaze shifts from Clarke to the endless sea before them. "It's pathetic, right? She hates me, but I keep coming back for more," he admits, his voice tinged with frustration and sadness. The weight of his sister's anger is something he's carried for too long, and yet, he can't seem to stop trying to make things right.
