Finding an outfit for my get together with Ryan was more difficult than it sounds. I wanted something cute, but not so cute to the point where he would think that I was trying to look cute for him. I just wanted to look cute.
After an hour of standing in my closet, trying on and taking apart outfits, I finally took Kennedy's earlier offer on getting her help.
"Ken!" I yelled. She came running in as if she was waiting on me to call her.
"Damn, it took you long enough. Have you any idea where you and Ryan are going?" She asked.
I rolled my eyes. "No, he never told me."
"Hmm.." Kennedy stood in deep thought, staring at my closet like she was admiring a painting while trying to figure out what the artist meant with every stroke of a paintbrush. Some deep shit like that. "You need something that's universal. Because we don't know where you're going, it should be dressed down enough to be able to do whatever and dressed up enough so that you at least look like you're on a date."
"Its not a date! Just two people getting to know each other. I have a boyfriend. I shouldn't have to tell you this too!" I said to her.
"And when was the last time you even talked to Tony? He lives all the way in Alabama, Adi. You live here now."
I rolled my eyes. I was doing too much of that lately. "Tony and I are fine. I'll talk to him later. You need to focus on finding my outfit right now!"
"Fine, fine. Here, wear this." she said, taking out different articles of clothing. It was perfect. {Outfit in media.}
"I should've come to you earlier!! Thank youuu!" I sqealed, hugging her and proceeding to put the clothes on.
After getting dressed, I waited on Ryan to come get me. I didn't know where we were going or what we were going to do but I was sort of anxious. Ryan had shown himself as a bit unpredictable and I'm not sure if that's good or bad yet. What were his motives in this whole thing anyway? He knows that I'm unavailable; what did he think was going to happen, that I just automatically fall in love? Just fuck him? That wasn't me and I definitely didn't plan on going there because of him. Ryan was attractive, but that was it. He was probably a fuckboy, at best. Just looking for a way to get in a girl's pants. But I didn't have to wrorry about that because I had Tony.
I was in my room watching television when the bell rang and, of course, Ken opened the door. I grabbed my things, walking towards the door.
"Jesus, Kennedy, you couldn't let me at least open the damn door?" I snapped, jokingly. I walked up to Ryan. "Ready to go?"
"Woah. You look hot." I said, his face at a standstill while he was drooling. I rolled my eyes. Again.
"Oh. How sweet. Now let's go." I said in my staccotto voice.
"Have her home by twelve!" Kennedy yelled as we walked away from the door.
"No promises, Ken!" he yelled back.
"He promises!" I yelled at both of them, then looking to Ryan. "Dude where are we going? I feel like I could be overdressed." He was wearing a royal blue button down shirt and dark jeans.
"I can't tell you. You look perfect, okay?" he replied.
Ugh. It irritated me, not being able to know where I'm going. We left the dorms and made it to Ryan's car, where he did in fact open my door for me. Shocking. Soon we were off of the college campus, going who knows where.
It didn't take long to get to our destination. Ryan parked in front of a skating rink.
"Basic." I said, smirking at him.
