The girls and I plus our moms got out of the van and walked into the studio that Ms. Abby rented.
| "This week, I expect big things in Hollywood. While we're here, we rented the same studio that Brittany Spears and Lady Gaga rehearsed in. Nothing's too good for my girls." | Abby Lee Miller |
Ms. Abby blew her whistle.
"Let's go!" Ms. Abby yelled.
The girls and I walked into the studio.
"No time to waste. Ladies, here we are
in Los Angeles, California for the Hollywood National Finals. And you are in for the city of your dreams." Ms. Abby said.
I "L.A. is our last competition before the final Nationals. Of course we want to do well here. We want to see the tone for what we're gonna do in Tahoe." |Christi Lukasiak|
"There are going to be children that you recognize. The kids that are in movies, the kids that are on television, these kids here in Los Angeles audition on a weekly basis. They are "pros." Ms. Abby said.

"Maddie,Kenzie,Lia your mom's not here? We all make choices. She chose to be away instead of being here with you." Ms. Abby said.
I nod sadly
| " I really miss my mom. I wish she was here right now.. I wanted her to be here with us and watch us here. Sometimes all I want is to be a family with my sisters and mom." | Amelia Ziegler |
| "Melissa's not here at Hollywood. She's spending time with her boyfriend. All those things that go into motherhood, those are the things that Melissa trusts me with her children." |Abby Lee Miller|
"So the three of you gonna be with me this week, and you may get to do things that everybody else doesn't get to do." Ms. Abby said.
I hold mackenzies hand
| "Melissa not being here is weird. I mean, we're in Hollywood. She should be here with her children." |Holly Frazier|
"I'm going to move on to our lovely pyramid and the bottom row. And I have.... Paige and Brooke." Ms. Abby said, ripping off the paper and revealing Paige and Brooke headshot picture.
"You will not be doing solos. You will be in the group number. Now, I've had it with your mom. She has told me that she can find better Choreographers, I'm sure she can. This is Los Angeles this isn't Pittsburgh" Ms. Abby said.
| "I have made it perfectly clear. If Kelly wants her kids to do independently Choreographed solos, she's not apart of the group number. So if Kelly wants to go ahead and enter Paige as an independent soloist, then Paige is out of the group number." | Abby Lee Miller |
"But please understand, that if you go as an independent, you're out, you're finished." Ms. Abby tells us.
| "We're here in Hollywood, and this is an important competition, and Abby thinks that it's okay for Paige not to have a solo. I mean, it's rediculous. Paige is in Hollywood, she needs a solo. She needs to be seen. So if I have to hire someone to Choreograph a solo for her, then that's what I'm gonna do." | Kelly Hyland |
"Next I have Nia, Mackenzie, duet. Next is Maddie and Chloe. So, Chloe you're going to be doing a solo. As well as the group routine. And...no surprise.... Amelia you're doing a solo this week. Now, remember, you are undefeated. People are out to get you. and Maddie, you're doing a solo this week." Ms. Abby said.
