Everything that lives, is designed to e-... wait wait that was for another one.

Okay here we go again. Hi, my name is Emi. You might know me as "The Kitsune", yet it's much more likely that you don't know me at all actually. Well I am... uhm... it's kinda difficult to tell you who I am without telling you the backstory. Well then, sit tight, for it is story time!

Once upon a time, a little mystery came to our world, a child of light. In their eyes, a glimmer of promise, in their mind, a vast field of ideas, and in their heart, an unimaginable amount of love, and... hate too. Many regarded our little light as a prodigy, many regarded them as a mystery, many regarded them as a promise yet to be fulfilled, while in many, they sparked fear.

Our little light was raised to be a bright and virtuous boy, someone who would stop at nothing to uphold justice, who would never sacrifice the virtue of creativity, and who would not fall into the traps of tyrants who try to control him. He rose like a bright light who... okay that's it I'm stroking too much of his ego.

Well, he was quite the dreamer. With his unparalleled imagination he always pictured the world to be a better place. A place without tyranny, where people would thrive and flourish, where ideas would rule and incompetent and useless institutions would go to hell. "Just like his father", he was really adamant of those virtues, and in fact much more fervorous at that. No teacher, no school principal, no coach... literally nobody was safe from his sharp resistance. And that included school bullies too. He was basically the bully of bullies. Maybe he lacked physical strength, but he was a powerful leader. Especially among nerds and misfits who looked up to his promising wits and admired his mythical approach to the world, even the secret world he imagined beyond our own. I'd say a deep yearning compelled him to imagine that... but that's a story for another day.

"And... there goes their cheap tricks again, as if I'm going to fall for it."  the paladin thought to himself. "Wait! Don't just admit that in their face! Let them think they're playing you!"... "Right, you got a point. But wait, am I not supposed to stand for justice? What they're suggesting is outrageous!"... "Well then just tell them that, don't let them know what you know!"

So the paladin told the principal, "You are villains! Outrageous villains! How can you threaten little children with this? You expect us to behave while you're being so unjust? Over my dead body if I bow down to you!". The school principal was shocked, along with his accomplice and the other kid who was crying in the office for the same cheap old trick, being threatened to be sent to child labour camps. Don't get agitated, it's not a real thing, at least not officially. The school principals both hated and loved him. "The smart and kind guy who has issues with authority and always makes trouble". Yet every time something like this happened between the authority and our little paladin, he gained more and more honour among the misfits.

So being the leader he was, he lead an army of misfits to fight the bullies in the school. The wars lasted for years, getting more complex and sophisticated every day, so much in fact that a comrade in the army gained the title of arsenal master, whose job was to come up with weaponry. We are talking about a rather neat primary school though, so don't get your hopes up, best they did was biscuit powder pouches and spice bombs.

More and more armies formed and fought, and the war our little paladin started was getting out of hand, even with their superior weaponry and adamant leadership.

"We need to put an end to this war. This madness has been too much already." the paladin told his arsenal master. The response was a long sigh and a stare into the abyss. "I think I know the right tool for that."
