The second day of vacation began with a fresh sea air that entered through the open windows of the hotel rooms. Seyran and Suna, as always, were among the first to wake up. They enjoyed breakfast on the terrace of the resort, talking about everything they had seen the day before. Seyran's eyes often focused towards the sea, as if something vague was calling him towards that endless horizon.
"What are you thinking?" Suna asked, looking at her sister with mild curiosity.
"Nothing special," Seyran replied, smiling slightly. Indeed, her thoughts often ended on yesterday's conversation with Ferit. There was something inexplicable about that boy, a kind of attraction that she tried to ignore, but grew stronger with each passing day.
After breakfast, everyone decided to spend the day at the beach. Their group was heading to a beach known for its crystal clear water and white sand, the ideal place to spend a full day of sun and games. Seyran, wearing a large hat to protect himself from the sun, was ready to enjoy every moment of this peaceful day.
When they arrived at the beach, their groups quickly dispersed. Suna and her friends started playing volleyball on the sand, while Seyran, longing for some peace, chose to lie on a deck chair and read a book. The sun shone on her skin, and the sound of the waves soothed her troubled mind.
On the other side of the beach, Ferit and his company were having fun doing swimming races. He was in his element, always showing a competitive spirit and full of energy. After some racing with his friends, Ferit saw Seyran sitting in the distance, focused on her book. He couldn't help but feel drawn to her, a curiosity that made him want to get to know her better.
Wasting no time, he approached her, holding a refreshing drink in hand. "Are you having a good time?" he asked, sitting down next to her.
Seyran looked up from the book and looked at it with a smile. "Yes, very well. This is a perfect way to relax.”
"You really know how to enjoy the calm," Ferit said, smiling as he watched the waves lapping gently on the shore. "But how do you feel about a little more action?"
Seyran looked at him with a curious look. "What do you have in mind?"
Ferit shrugged, as if the idea he had was just random. "A swimming race, maybe? The water is great, and there aren't many waves."
Seyran thought for a moment. It wasn't typical for him to participate in such spontaneous activities, but he felt a kind of freedom he hadn't experienced before. "Why not?" she said, setting the book aside and walking away from the chaise longue.
Together they headed towards the water, and Ferit couldn't hide his satisfied smile. Something inside told him that this race would be more than just a game.
When they reached the water line, the others watched with curiosity. Suna, who was playing volleyball with the others, noticed her sister and Ferit near the water and laughed under her breath. "Looks like things are starting to get interesting," she said to herself.
"Are you ready?" Ferit asked, looking Seyran in the eye.
"As ready as I can be," she replied, showing an easy confidence.
With a quick count, they jumped into the water. Ferit was much faster at first, but Seyran kept the pace with calmness and concentration. As they progressed towards the final point of the race, Ferit began to slow down, deliberately letting Seyran catch up. He was surprised by her resourcefulness and the way she handled every situation.
When they were done, they both walked back to shore, laughing. Seyran could feel her heart pounding, not only from the race, but also from the fact that she felt a new bond between them.
"Not bad for someone who doesn't like stocks much," Ferit said, laughing.
"I would say the same for you," Seyran replied, feeling that he had broken a great barrier between them.
After the race, they spent the rest of the day talking more deeply. Ferit discovered that Seyran had much more to offer than he thought. She was sensitive, discreet and had a deep mind that she often didn't show openly. On the other hand, Seyran saw Ferit as a free spirit, but also a person who had more responsibility than he let on.
The days at the beach passed quickly, but for Seyran and Ferit, this day was just the beginning of a relationship that would develop much deeper than just an ordinary friendship.
