Something you don't tend to wake up to is a person under your dresser.
When I woke up on Saturday I expected it to be like literally any other boring day. Wake up, make sure I didn't feel sick or something, check the glue trap, bathe, pretty much everything you'd expect someone to do normally. However it was when I got to that step of checking the glue trap was when I got an unexpected break in my routine.
There was a man on my floor.
Now, I like to say I react rather calmly I think to most situations, but not to a situation like this. I very appropriately jumped back onto my bed and screamed, then jumped back off of it and snagged the guy from the glue trap.
"What the...What the hell are you?!" I shouted. The guy was struggling in my grasps, but at that moment, I didn't realize it, I had too much adrenaline pumping through my veins and too many questions that I needed answers to. Who was he? How long had he been here? Was he a peeper? That last question made me squeeze the guy a little harder and he continued to struggle.
"P-Please let me go ma'am! Y-You're crushing me! I j-just woke up here on your floor!"
I turned slowly to the man, confused, and lighten my grip so that I wouldn't crush him. "Really? Sure. Why should I believe you?""Because it's the truth!"
Ha, sure, like he'd be honest about this. I wasn't gonna believe him on a whim, at least without some evidence to go off of or him proving it himself. I looked around the room and then looked down, seeing the glue trap again. I felt a little bad for doing what I did next, but I did it anyways. I picked the glue trap up and stuck the little man back onto it. He continued to struggle but the trap kept him in place. I placed the trap on the desk and looked at the man.
"Now, some questions. What's your name?"
"Olly!"
"Ok, how long have you been in my house?"
"Just today, miss, please, you got to believe me!"I really didn't know if I should believe this little guy, and I knew I wasn't going to, at least not yet, but I had to do something about him. I decided to build some trust with him before making any decisions.
"Ok, well, I'm Sally, and this would be my house that you somehow got into."
"O-Ok Sally, please don't hurt me!"
I really didn't know what to do, I didn't know if he was lying or not, I didn't know if he had friends on the outside or something, so I decided to...
