"Check these details first, then we can proceed" I said, trying to hurry as Karan is waiting for me. "Vihaan, done with work?" His voice dripped with sarcasm, but I couldn't understand why. "Hmm, what happened?" I asked, standing near him who is staring at fog that formed after rain "Yesterday, I talked to Kaveri" he said. I nodded, waiting for his words.
"She said she would talk to you" he added, his words caught my attention. "What?" I exclaimed, confused. "Yes, didn't she talk to you?" he asked , he is also confused like hell as I'm now.
What had happened last night? I went home and went straight to sleep right? I tried to recall last night incident which is making me suffocated now "Vihaan" Karan's voice snapped me back to reality.
"I was drunk yesterday, and I don't remember what happened" I said, trying to recall the events of the night and I felt like my brain is burning "Hold on, I’ll be back" I said, stepping into the washroom, feeling suffocated.
"What had happened last night? Did we have a smooth conversation, or was it something else?" I looked at my reflection, splashing water on my face. I loosened my tie and unbuttoned the top buttons to get some air.
I looked my reflection, my tired eyes and that’s when I saw it. A mark on my neck. "What the-" I muttered, touching the reddish spot. "Fuck!" I cursed under my breath, remembering my breakdown infornt of her last night. My head is spinning "Vihaan you asshole how can you-" But then, the happiest part... she kissed me that means did she forgive me? damn. My eyes sparkled at the thought.
"Vihaan!" Karan shouted as I walked out of my cabin. But my mind was elsewhere. All I could think about now is my wife. What must she have felt when I left her alone after such a interaction last night? "Karan, I need to talk to Kaveri" I blurted, urgency in my voice. I rushed to my car, speeding toward house to see my home , my wife

I pulled the car into the driveway, my mind racing, and rushed inside the house without even noticing Aryaan in the lane. The force with which I slammed the car door unintentionally made him turn towards me. He blinked, taken aback by my sudden entrance, but I didn’t have the patience for pleasantries. I was too consumed by what had just happened between me and Kaveri. Ignoring Aryaan’s voice calling after me, I stormed into the house. He must think I’m angry again. Maybe I am, but right now, I just want to see her.
