Chapter Four

Vic kicked off her shoes, changed from her jeans into some sweats she had left here a while ago and then crawled into bed next to Andy and wrapped her in her arms. She felt Andy turn around and felt her breath on her chest since she was also wearing a tank top.

"Andy, get some sleep, okay? I'll be right here. I promise I will not leave you." Vic told her, squeezing her into her body, trying to make sure Andy knew how much she loved her.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

It was a month later and Andy and Vic were still keeping their relationship a secret. They knew that their relationship was frowned upon by the department, and while they knew Ross knew they had no idea how the rest of 19 and the rest of the department would react.

Andy was sitting in her office, working on the schedule for next month when she got a text from Michelle.

I'm sorry about my parents, prima. Is there anything I can do for you? You've barely talked to me this past month.

Andy sighed. She didn't want to think about what her Tia and Tio said to her that night. She's been shutting Michelle out lately. Along with anyone else aside from Vic, but even Vic didn't know that Andy was struggling more than she was letting on.

In the last month, Andy and Vic had celebrated eight months together over a dinner and a night full of sex with them staying in bed the whole day except to eat. The last month hadn't been easy for Andy. While Vic and her relationship was stronger than ever, she still felt empty and began to work out nearly every day, which concerned Vic. She didn't want her girlfriend to become a Maya 2.0.

The shift was half over, and Vic was looking for her girlfriend and was starting to become worried when she couldn't find her in the barn or her office because she knew Andy was most likely in the gym and she sighed. She rushed up the stairs, two by two and quickly walked into the gym to see Andy bench pressing. She sighed and walked to spot her.

When Andy came into view Vic saw Andy had her eyes closed and that she had sweat covering her face. Vic frowned.

Andy opened her eyes and looked into Vic's. "I'm almost done. You can stop looking at me like that," Andy told Vic, rolling her eyes.

"No," Vic said, and Andy sat down after putting the bar down.

"No?" Andy asked, eyebrows furrowed.

"This isn't okay. You worked out this morning for an hour, you only had a small lunch. You're running yourself into the ground!" Vic shouted, hating seeing her girlfriend struggling.

Andy rolled her eyes again. "I'm fine, Vic!" Andy argued. "Chill."

"No, you're not," Vic argued. "Andy, you've worked out three times a day every shift for the last couple of weeks. That isn't healthy!" Vic told her, gaining the attention of other A shift members.

Andy sighed and stood up. "Vic, just leave me the fuck alone," Andy said, shocking everyone by swearing and even though a flash of pain went through Vic's eyes Andy didn't care as walked out of the room, pushing past Maya who had a look of disappointment on her face.

Andy rushed into the beanery, grabbed a water bottle and then rushed down to her office and locked the door. She took a couple of sips of water and then sat down in her chair, trying to control her breathing. She felt herself panicking. She knew she treated Vic like shit upstairs, and she felt her eyes well up with tears. Vic had been nothing but supportive since her Tia and Tio had cut her out of their lives, and she snaps at her like that. Andy put her head in her hands and felt the tears begin to run down her cheeks.

Andy felt her breathing pick up more and heard a knock on the door, but she was too worked up to even look up. She was surprised when the door unlocked and opened a minute later. When she looked up she saw Meredith and Carina and she furrowed her eyebrows. She saw Carina's lips moving but couldn't hear her, too overwhelmed.

The two women rush over to Andy, trying to calm her but Andy flinches when Meredith touches her.

Andy saw Meredith frown and she looked over at Carina and saw her mouth moving but still couldn't understand her. Andy saw Carina rush out of the office and when she came back moments later she was with Maya and while Maya rushed over to Andy, to hold her still Carina got a sedative ready and passed it to Meredith who went back over to Andy. After rolling up one of Andy's sleeves she gave her the sedative while Maya made sure Andy wouldn't slide off the chair.

Once Andy was calmer Maya lifted her and brought her into the bunk room, gently laying her down on the bed and watching her sadly. She didn't know what was causing her friend to act out and work out obsessively. She knew how concerned Andy got when she worked out too much and she wanted to know what was causing her to be so reckless herself.

Maya had just covered Andy under a blanket when Vic rushed into the office, concern written on her face.

"What the hell happened?" Vic asked, close to tears herself.

"She was panicking, and she wasn't responding to anything we were saying so we decided to sedate her since her breathing was out of control," Meredith explained, sympathy clear in her voice, also worried about her friend.

Vic sat down at the end of the bed and looked at Andy. She was worried beyond belief and just wanted Andy to be as peaceful as she looks right now.

Vic sighed, stood up after several minutes and closed the bunk room door after debating in her head if she should stay or just let Andy rest. When Vic stepped into the main room she saw Meredith, Carina and Maya looking at her with pity. Maya was the one brave enough to ask what they were all wondering.

"What the hell just happened?"
