As Azara and Azrael parted ways after the student gathering, Azrael's expression darkened.

He walked into his mansion, the grandeur mocking his inner turmoil.

"Welcome home, Azrael," his step-mother, Vivian, said, her voice measured.

Azrael's gaze lingered on Vivian, his emotions conflicted.

"Where's Father?" Azrael asked, his tone detached.

"Working late, as usual," Vivian replied.

Azrael's step-brothers, Elijah and Lucas, argued in the living room.

Azrael's half-sister, Emily , clung to Vivian's embrace.

"Azrael's home!" Emily exclaimed.

Azrael forced a smile.

"Hey, Emily."

Elijah and Lucas nodded at Azrael, their interactions strained.

Vivian intervened.

"Dinner's ready. Let's eat together."

The tension-filled dinner highlighted the family's complexities, Azrael's detachment, Elijah's resentment, Lucas's awkwardness, Emily's innocence and Vivian's attempts to unite them.

Later, Azrael retreated to his room, seeking solace in his art.

He sketched Azara's profile, her smile haunting him.

In another part of town, Azara struggled with her own family expectations.

Her parents' voices echoed in her mind:

"Azara, focus on business."

"Azara, forget music."

Azara's eyes wandered to her hidden journal, filled with song lyrics.

She longed for understanding, for freedom.

But for now, her dreams remained locked away.
