"With only 16 seconds on the clock, Grizzlies down by 2 points. Memphis needs to make a three if they wanna win their first preseason game."
There Ja was, standing from the half court, ready to risk it all. His heart pounded heavily with each passing second.
As he watched every movement happening on the court, he saw there was only one way to win.
Bane was to his far left, Jackson Jr. to his right.
He thought about passing the ball to Des, handing him the winning shot, but he knew the fans wanted it to be him.
"Shoot the ball!" someone shouted from the crowd that had been silent for the past few seconds.
There was no more than 10 seconds left on the shot clock.
With his right hand Ja dribbled the ball, taking a step back, before chucking the basketball as far as he could across the court.
The crowd followed the ball as it flew before their very eyes. Ja too watched as it went flying from the half court making a clean break through the net.
"Ja Morant coming through with the three, and that's time!" the announcer shouted. "Can you believe it?!"
The arena filled with loud screams and cheers for the Grizzlies as the players howled like mad men.
Memphis was far away from home but their crowd brought that home energy they fed off of during every game.
"Memphis taking home the win."
