Meanwhile,Risa and Jaden where trying to stabilize the portal. And figure out the cause of the problem ,but it was to no avail. Risa took a walk around the portal caves looked at the walls thought for a moment , then called Jaden's attention and said " Remember that book on the slab, at the library inside it's walls this drawing looks exactly like the drawing, on the book cover, doesn't it".
" I don't really remember what the drawing on the book cover looks like but are you sure that it's the same?".Jaden said, looking closely at the drawing.
" Am telling you it's the same,I told you we should bring the book along with us ".Risa said
Jaden kept looking closely at the book,then said to her" I don't really think it's the same. But since you say so what do you think we can do with it ". Risa thought for a moment and said " I think we should go get the book from the library am sure the answer we seek is there".
Jaden looked at her and said " it's a long way back, should we really take the risk". I interrupted immediately" yes we should, it's better than staying here and causing chaos . The earlier we stop this problem the better".
Jaden agreed and we went to get the book from the library , as we where he going i thought on the way " Sorry Jaden, but this was the only way for us to solve this tricky puzzle and stabilize the portal, I love you, but if we continue like this we will die, am sure the answer we seek is written in the book".
It was very late,and i needed a break so I said to him " I want to take a rest, can I ?". He looked at me and said " I told you it's a long way back, you persisted we come , now we aren't even there yet you are already tired, but you can take a break I guess". I didn't reply I just found a place to sleep.
" We found him!, We found him! ". The soldiers exclaimed as they bounded Jaden in chains. I felt like I was kept in a cell. I could only see but I couldn't help him, he was tortured and bruised all over. They kept beating and laying curses on him. I couldn't watch them do this to him, I kept on screaming and begging. But I seemed to be invisible to them.
Principal Wunderson sat and ordered him to be beheaded .I screamed and turned away shaking and crying ,then everywhere was suddenly calm. I opened my eyes and it seemed I was on trial, I had no one to speak for me and everyone was against me even my own people the witches. Vampires where everywhere and there were only few witches,and they were on trial with me they cursed, spitted and stoned me. I couldn't bare it and shouted " Ahhhhhhh ". Then I heard a soft voice " Risa wake up ". I stood up immediately with fright saw Jaden and realized it was a dream.
I was still shaking and crying. Jaden looked at me strangely, pleaded with me to stop crying and said" what is it Risa, since you woke up, you have been frightened and shaking, what is scaring you. Please answer me ".
" Ja.....Ja..... Jaden, we are gonna get caught let's stay here so we won't get hurt". I said still shivering and shaking" Please, Jaden I have this feeling"Let's stay here for a while, they know we are missing". I said.
" How can you even be sure of what you are saying, I mean you just woke up from your slumber". " I know but Jaden!!! ". I said in fright. " Ok, you know what ,let's get the book from the slab then we will decide what to do ". Jaden said, as he picked me up and wiped my tears. Whispering in my ears" Am fine, your fine, we will be fine as long as we are together".
So I got up and we continued walking inside the underground passage to get the book. Meanwhile, the Principal sent troops of soldiers to the portal caves with this warning " Listen Soldiers, we do not have time to waste. l want you all to make me proud find Risa and Jaden and bring them to me, is that clear".
" Yes Principal ". The soldiers said as they went immediately to the portal caves and searched for me and Jaden tirelessly. but was to no avail as me and Jaden where inside the underground passage at the library. Although, we weren't aware that we were being searched for,we spent enough time inside the library wall for the soldiers to come to a conclusion that we weren't there.
Meanwhile, we got to where to the book was. But I didn't allow Jaden to come out of the underground passage. I kept on pleading and begging him that we shouldn't go. " This is really ridiculous Risa ,how could you tell me, we shouldn't come out because you have a feeling and a bad dream. I know it may be tough for you but please let's keep going time is not on our side, you were the one that insisted that we should come, now you're saying we shouldn't leave". Jaden said. I kept on being persistent that we stay longer.
I said to him " Am telling you. I have this feeling that if we leave this place, something bad is going to happen". And am not moving an inch till you believe me".
" Ok miss witch dreamer , what bad thing is going to happen. Huh,the only bad thing that is going to happen is when we don't enter that portal ,before Principal Wunderson find us".
" Excuse me, did you just say ' Miss witch, dreamer?' .For your information am trying to help you and your being so ungrateful. Like are you serious. Firstly, you made the principal put me in dungeon. Secondly, I decided, to help you open the portal. At my own risk. Thirdly , I want to risk my after life and go to Darkwoods, now excuse me, Mr blood sucker, what do you lose? Tell me what!!! . If my school arrests you, your school will fight. If your school arrests me, I die! , no one from Territorial high will even bother to break a sweat for me . So Jaden what exactly do you lose ?".
Jaden, looked at me without saying a word. I looked at him with a stern look , went and sat on the ground. Jaden came close and said" Risa, you need to understand,I mean you no harm, but the sooner we leave for Darkwoods the better". I looked at him with a stern look and said" Go to Darkwoods and do what exactly, I've put myself in too much danger because of you, I don't even what to see your face". I got up from where I was sitting and left.
