Katie's POV

It was almost 4 in the morning and I woke up hearing my phone ringing, I opened my phone completely annoyed by the person who was calling me very early.

I was shocked to see that it was Kiera who was calling me. I answered not knowing why she was calling me.

Conversation over the phone:

"Are you still awake? Pabukas ng pinto." She said, clearly drunk

"Yes gising pa, sandali lang pa baba na ako" I said and eded the phone call while rushing to the door to open it for her.

When I was at the door I opened it quickly. There she was my beautiful Kiera. She was a mess and that is all because of me. She was drinking alcohol because of me. I looked straight at her eyes and I saw everything, the pain and suffering can be seen in her eyes.

"Your eyes never lie, Kiera." I said to myself making sure that she can't hear me.

"Hey" I said softly, she didn't even bother to look at me.

I wanted to hug her and tell her that I love her but there was no point in doing that I knew that I will only cause Kiera more pain. Instead I went to my room and tried to get some sleep.

Kiera's POV

I woke up hearing my phone ringing, clearly, I am very annoyed by it. I opened my eyes trying to find my phone but it was no where to be seen so I got up and looked around for my phone.

"There you are" I said seeing my phone under my bed.

My head was pounding like crazy
"Stupid hangover" I said to myself.

I opened my phone and saw that it was my big brother. I opened it and saw that Luke was texting to come and breakfast with them. Great.

-
Conversation in messenger:

Luke
"Baba ka muna, sumabay ka saamin ni Katie kumain"

"Umagang Kay sakit" I said clearly not ready to see Her and my brother together early in the morning.

Kiera
"Kayo nalang, busog pa ko kuya" A total lie. I am so hungry but I'd rather die in hungerness than seeing both Katie and my brother together.

Luke
"Busog ka dyan eh, hindi ka pa nga nakakain eh, walang gana ang bunso ko?"

Luke
"Wait for me, I'll bring your breakfast up there"

Shit

It hurts more because he doesn't know anything, All he knows is that he's getting married to a beautiful woman.

How ironic is that? he doesn't even know that the girl I used to tell him stories about is the girl that his marrying next year.

My phone buzzed again and I tapped the notification thinking that it was my brother without looking who it was, I was a bit surprised seing it was Katie.

-
Conversation in messenger:

Katie
"nagluto Ako ng favorite mo na ulam, but I know you don't want to see me so your brother is coming up there, please eat something."

I hissed clearly feeling the pain again. I felt a stray of tears dropping from my face but wiped it when I heard a knock on my door.

"Coming!" I said, whipping and trying to keep my tears at bay. The last thing I want is let Luke see me cry.
