I'm at a party and today was my 3rd "official"week of school here in Birkland Ohio and I only hate 1 person...Jalen Thrillte. He's been a jerk to me sense I turned him down the second day of school.
"Hey nerd. I see you decided to come to Matthew Parker's party" The devil himself speaks as all I can comprehend is the awful smell of alcohol in his hot breath. "come on. say something.. your brother and personal protector can't save you now.stand up for your self...ever heard of it? SAY SOMETHING YOU SNOB!" That's it.
"You chug a fifth of alcohol by yourself and everyone around you is to busy cheering you on to wonder how empty you had to be in order to do it. so when you sober up and can talk to me without a gallon of alcohol in your system let me know. because that...is the LOWEST that you can be." His eyes then had a mix of anger and confusion as I procided to dump his almost full solo cup on his head and nock him into the nearest wall. Being sure to put all of my force as I hold him still in order to say my last 'thoughts'. "Oh and by the way...Matthew is my best friend...not my personal body guard. ever heard of it?" I then pushed past him an the fairly big croude that made their way to the scene trying to find my best friend. "Noah! I heard what you did to Jaren. good job girl. If I were you I would've punched him but your is a lot funnier."
Good god. he knows I hate it when he uses bad grammar...its my pet peeve. "A- more funny...not funnier. B- I've gotta bolt or my mom will flip" When I say flip it's an understatement. If I go to a party I want to stop drinking an hour before I leave so I can sober up and make it home on time or I would literally be buried alive. you see my mom had me and my brother due to a one night stand when she was drunk. dad didn't want us. so when I found out I was having Mazie she immediately rule out parties til she was two if I was keeping her. when we decided my mom would raise her I would occasionally help and make the REALLY big decisions like schooling an babysitters etc. But my mom is really strict now after all that happened. Matt knows the whole story as well as how Mazie was brought into play. "Ok well hurry or I won't be able to take you to the 'store' Wednesday night" "yeah yeah bye Matt" "Bye Noah"

When I was walking to my locker before lunch I got a oh-so-expected surprise from Jaren. "Hey nerd. I heard that you ran away from me at the party Friday night. you know I don't like it when you run from me. I'll have to punish you for that. watch your back fatty. wouldn't want you to lose weight trying to hide from me."
As he turned and walked away from me I felt the tears prickling in my eyes as I ran down the empty hallways of the school. not comprehending where I'm going I find myself in the courtyard, under the willow tree. I sink to the ground and lean my back on the trunk of the tree.. letting the low branches shield me from the outside world. all at once I feel a panic attack starting. My eyes slam shut and my fingertips curl around my thin legs. flashbacks of what happened in Washington flooded in like a tsunami. "go die it'll do us all a favor" "you only got pregnant for attention" "get outta my way I don't wanna catch whatever it is you have" I didn't even know someone else was there until I felt a pair of muscular arms around my fragile frame trying to calm me down. I started mumbling like I always do..saying what they said and other things like 'it's your fault I do this' and 'if only you knew'. after what felt like forever I finally calmed down and saw who was hugging me. Expecting to see Kyser instead I saw....Matthew?
"Why are you comforting me? I don't deserve it. I never deserve it. I should've listened to them. Go Away!" My A.D.D kicked in and I ran away from my best friend...who probably hated me now. "Noah wait!"
