“So, what have you done yesterday?“, Chris asked me, while he was getting clothed. He had to work early today too.
“I met up with Chandler and then hung out with his friends. And last night I put together some more furniture.” I told him, while I stood up and stretched.
Luckily we were able to sleep on our mattress that night. But still not in the bed.
After Chris finished getting dressed, I opened the curtains and let the sunlight into our room.
“And today I have to go down to the dance studio, hopefully they take me. How was your yesterday?“
“Full of stress. And unfortunately, that will probably not be any different today. I'm sure you'll get the job, darling.“
I loved it, when he called me darling, because then his British accent was even more audible than usual.
And even though he always said he had no accent, every idiot could hear where he came from.
“Thanks. Have fun at work.”
“Bye, I love you.“ Chris said and kissed me briefly.
“Love you too.“
After I brought Thea to nursery school, I got the idea to visit Chandler and his friends again.
I really want to hang out with them yesterday because I haven't really been part of a friend group or hung out with anyone my age since college.
So I went up one floor than I had to, and this time I knocked on Monica's door, since the joy seemed to be hanging out there.
“Yes, unless you're someone we don't know.“ Chandler called from the inside of the apartment.
I opened the door. "Hi, it's me.“ I announced myself.
“Oh, hey Beth.“
“Morning Liz.“ Joey greeted me.
“Liz?“ I questioned, while sitting down on the small round table with him and Chandler.
Rachel was doing something on the kitchen, she seems really concentrated.
"Yeah, you're name's Elizabeth, right. So Liz is a good nickname.“
“Okay.“ In fact, no one had ever called me Liz, everyone called me Ellie and Chandler gave me the name Beth when we first met. But I won't complain.
Rachel turned with a coffee pot to us.
“Isn't this amazing? I mean, I have never made coffee before in my entire life.“
Chandler and Joey congratulated her, but I was sceptical.
“Never like in never ever, not once?“
“Yes.“ She seemed very excited.
“Listen, while you're on a roll, if you feel like you gotta make like a Western omelet or something...“ Joey suggested smooth.
After Rachel has put a cup of her coffee in front of all three of us, I start to smell on the coffee. But Chandler and Joey instantly try it.
They both make a face and pour their drink into the plant.
“Although actually I'm really not that hungry...“ Joey murmured.
I picked up the coffee cup and took a sip, much to the horror of the two men.
It's not good, but I've had worse.
Monica came out of her room.
“Morning.“ I said, along with the others.
Behind Monica the whine guy from yesterday evening entered the room.
