Like my brother?
Like my brother?
What is wrong with my blabbermouth? Why do I always say the wrong things? Argh, that moment has haunted me through the next day and night. The moment I realize I am starting to really like this dude I mess it up.
When I meet up with Arthur again, he winces in bright light and asks me to lower my voice.
"You got drunk." He makes a shushing noise and shakes his head which makes him wince. "Oh my gosh you did, you got drunk, this is hilarious." Arthur groans and puts his head on the desk, "I am glad you are taking pleasure from my discomfort. Can we maybe not do work today? I have meeting later and I want to escape this hangover."
I nod trying to stifle my laughter, and leave the room. A few hours later Nalia, Julian and I are engaged in an epic paint battle. Nalia has a water gun that she has somehow rigged to shoot paint and Julian and I have squirtable water bottles filled with paint.
I have somehow manage to avoid getting any paint on me though I doubt my accomplishment will last long. Julian and I are running from Nalia, I am getting a piggy back ride on his back. We burst into the throne room, yelling "Close the door! She's right behind us!"
We are too slow, and Nalia menacingly pushes open the door. She is directly in front of Arthur who is sitting on his throne. I slide from Julians back and take up a defensive position with my water bottle.
She points her gun in my direction, "Wait, wait Nalia, we can talk about this," I try to stall but she knows my tactics too well. She fires her gun and Julian ducks in front of me to take the paint bullet, it splatters on his chest in a clear shot to the heart. He gasps dramatically, clutching his chest, I wail and fall to my knees besides him, "Nooo Julian," He pats my face with his painty hand. "Avenge me," I nod and pick up my water bottle.
Nalia laughs evilly "Taste the rainbow, Zoe!" She fires towards me and I dodge, "I am the rainbow!" Yeah I don't know what I just said either, but we're gonna go with it. I fire my bottle towards her face, a clear shot with a huge amount of paint and she ducks. It splatters directly on King Arthurs face. We stare at him for one, two, three, seconds before Julian, Nalia, and I burst out laughing. "You ducked-" Julian says, "And it just-" Nalia splutters, "Splattered on his face!" I yell.
Arthur slowly wipes the paint away from his eyes and our laughter fades away, he stands up, looking at me menacingly and I start to back away. "Zoe, dear I think it is awfully unfair that I am splattered with paint, while you are so clean." He smile, white teeth standing out is a sea of blue paint.
"I think I might need to fix that." My eyes widen and I squeal before turning around to run, I hear his footsteps pounding behind me and I make it almost to the door when he tackles me. He positions his body so he hits the ground first, absorbing the blow, than he flips us and runs his painty hands through my hair. He has my paint water bottle and dumps all of it on me, running his hands on my arms and face. I wiggle trying to get away but he is like a brick. He discovers I am ticklish when he get paint on my neck.
Soon I am laughing helplessly while he tickles me. He pulls me up into his arms and carries me back to the throne's. Arthur sit me onto his lap and when I try to escape he whispers into my ear, "No little demon, not unless you want more paint."
I turn my head to glare at him, "If I get more paint I am going to turn into a walking paint bottle. Anyway who are these people." I gesture to the shell-shocked looking group surrounding the throne. He puts his hands on my thighs, "Werewolves, they are Alpha's and Beta's and Gamma's." I nod and wiggle again, he lets out a sigh and lets me go. Julian is still laying on the floor and I skip over to him. "Are you still dead?"
