— REAL LIFEThe brunette stumbled into the Women's Basketball dorm, her hands reaching for anything in the doorway to keep her stable. Her hair was disheveled, her mouth dry. With Paige right behind her, she watched over her protectively. She would never admit it, but the blonde was extremely ansty for Leighton to stay the night. Not for any unreasonable or weird reason people might think, but she just wanted Leighton's company. Spending 3 years alone, after the best 10 years of her life, there was nothing more Paige wanted than to be in Leighton's presence. She had spent every night for 3 years in her bed alone, thinking about the same brunette who would be sleeping in that bed tonight. She felt at peace finally, in hopes that everything could go back to what it was.
The same said girl continued to walk through the home, not sure where she was going but hoping she got there in a professional and calm way. On the other hand, Paige giggled at her bumping her hip into the kitchen counter, before propping her onto a stool. Leighton breathed out a "huff," before placing her chin in her delicate hands. Paige handed her a bottle of water, which she drank half of- in basically one gulp.
"Thank you." She muttered, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
"You feeling better? Want some ibuprofen?"
"Yes please." Leighton held out her hand to Paige, who proceeded to give her two small red tablets. Using the rest of her water, she took them, one by one.
"And to think you're supposed to be the one taking care of me." A sly smirk tugged on Paige's lips, her arms crossed as she stood in front of Leighton.
"Oh, hush. Keep talking shit and I won't clear you for this season."
"You have no say in that." She teased.
"Oh yes I do, watch me." Leighton rolled her eyes, standing up from the stool slowly- leaving her purse on the counter.
"Okay, okay." The blonde laughed, throwing her hands up. "You win. Please, please clear me for this season, I don't know what I would do with my life if I missed another season." She complained.
"You would live."
"As long as you're my doctor I will." Paige had caught up to where Leighton was standing now. They were face to face, staring at each other with playful glints stirring in their eyes. The blonde let out a sigh, doing her best to ignore the magnetic pull Leighton seemed to express. Leighton smiled dismissively, as to suppress her rising heartbeat- and headache. However, Leighton could not figure out whether her symptoms were from being drunk, or being drunk in love.
The brunette's yawn interrupted the intimate moment, signaling to Paige that she was most likely exhausted- and she shouldn't keep Leighton up any longer.
"You tired?" Paige swiped a stray eyelash gently off the underside of Leighton's eye.
"Not at al-" Leighton spoke slowly, before quickly being interrupted yet again- by another yawn. This one came with an almost 20 second stretch time, her arms crossing behind her head as her body reached up and back.
"Alright pretty girl, let's get you to bed." The gaurd snorted at the cheerleader, leading her into her room slowly. But first, grabbing Leighton's purse off the counter. She didn't know, or want to know, how her roommates would react when they found out her physical therapist had spent the night. Especially when they supposedly had no history between them, whatsoever.
With the help of Paige, Leighton sat crisscrossed on her soft bed, arms behind her to keep her stable. The blonde was currently rummaging through dresser drawers- she guessed to find clothing. She pulled out a pair of black, wide-leg sweatpants and a grey UConn athletic tee. Leighton's eyes averted to her, then quickly adjusted to the floor, her head snapping down in world record seconds. Her long, lanky arms were so elegantly and smoothly stripping her shirt off- crossing her arms before dismissing it over her head.
