Esme's phone buzzed, breaking the silence in her room. She glanced at the screen, still confused by the mystery message.
"Hey beautiful, today was awesome. Who will it be? Liam or Zeke?"
Her fingers flew across the screen.
Esme:
"Hi... who is this?"
A moment later, her phone buzzed again.
"Lol, sorry, it's Liam! I forgot to mention that 😅."
She smiled to herself, relaxing a little. Of course it's Liam.
Esme:
"Haha, no worries. Yeah, today was fun. You're actually really cool—we should hang out more often."
Liam:
"Thanks, you too! We definitely should. What do you say, next weekend?"
Esme:
"I'm down for that! If you're not busy, of course."
Liam:
"Never too busy for you 😉."
Her heart skipped a beat. She hesitated before reacting to the message with a heart emoji, then quickly tossed her phone to the side, trying to push the thoughts away. But her mind wouldn't stop racing.
Zeke... or Liam? Both of them cared. Both seemed to like her. But who did she like?
Esme sighed, feeling the confusion build. She replayed the day in her head—Liam's goofy smile, Zeke's protective gaze. Her feelings were all over the place. Was it possible to like both of them?
Only time will tell... she thought to herself before finally drifting off to sleep.
