losing someone you care about is like a part of you suddenly disappears. like the light in the world has been dimmed, and everything feels a little colder, emptier.it's like a gaping hole inside of you, and no matter how much you try to fill it, nothing seems to work. the memories and the pain just keep resurfacing, reminding you that they're not here anymore.
lilith stumbled back as she saw the horrific sight of her sisters head on a pike. only hours before had she been arguing with her about how she never had time for her any more and now she was gone. dead. just like that.
she felt her knees give in from beneath her, falling onto the cold, wet grass below. her breath caught in her throat, and her eyes remained on the horrifying sight just in front of her.
"just survive somehow." she swore she could hear her sister whisper to her. she stood up, wobbling slightly "we have to go." she croaked out. "alpha could be around here waiting for us."
after a few more minutes the others lead the way back to the kingdom. lilith stayed silent the whole way back, lost in her own thoughts. when they arrived back, siddiq got patched up and then held a speech. lilith refused to stay and listen. why was everyone so calm? why were they not raising hell amongst the whisperers already?
the girl, feeling overwhelmed and needing a moment to process the horrific events that had occurred. she wandered off into a more secluded area of the kingdom. once safely from the public eye, she sank down onto the ground, her body shaking and her thoughts in turmoil. she finally allowed tears to fall, the magnitude of the loss of her sister threatening to consume her.

winter fell quick, enid's least favourite season but lilith's favourite. she adored the cold, crisp air that filled her lungs and tingled her skin. the beauty of snow-covered landscapes, the quiet stillness in the winter nights.
she hadn't spoken much since the death of her sister. everyone around her noticed how this spunky, cheerful girl turned so cold, quiet, numb.
lilith was now back at alexandria since hilltop and the kingdom held too many memories of her sister. she was staying in rositas house considering she was a minor with no guardian anymore. she'd overheard gabriel, rosita and eugene talking about how a snow storm was coming.
once everyone was gathered into the meeting room, rosita and gabriel lit the fireplace, creating slight warmth and an orange tinge amongst everyone's faces. "i swear to god. i have every square inch of this room memorised. and it still feels like a party" negan chuckled. "a never ending party from hell." rosita sarcastically smiled.
"i mean sure, alright. it smells like a godamn barn in here, all bored shitless
but-""language!" judith interrupted him, peeling her eyes away from out the window over to him. "sorry- sorry kiddo. but, i mean, we've got ourselves this hot little love quadrangle here to entertain us. it's like christmas to me." negan grinned as he saw the unamused expressions on rosita, siddiq and gabriel's faces.
"well, maybe they're just as miserable at aaron's or barbara's." siddiq suggested. "mm." rosita murmured.
lilith listened to negan tease the 3 even more, finding it way funnier than it actually was. she sat with her knees up to her chest, attempting to warm herself up as she'd given judith her coat as a blanket. "jude, don't sit so close to the window." lilith called out to the younger girl, patting the spot next to her for her to come sit.
