FIVE

FIVE

For once, Ebony Moretti was not at home at three o'clock in the morning.

"We need more shots!"

Ebony screamed over the booming sound of the music, the strobe and flashing lights barely bothering her, partly due to her alcohol intake but also because she was actually having fun.

The boys that always caused chaos and turned up at her home as if she were a hotel were actually pretty fun to party with. They had paid for most of her drinks, so she had only spent around ten euros on her drinks.

She posed in photos that she usually wouldn't pose in, posted pictures of the five of them on her social media which she never did, and wasn't afraid to let her hair down and just enjoy herself once in a while.

She was determined to have a good time.

"Can I get fifteen shots of tequila, please?" Ebony shouted over the bar in order to be heard, since the club hits that were great, made it almost impossible for anybody to hear somebody talk unless they screamed.

The barman nodded his head as he began to pour the shots, with the Italian girl practically throwing a cash note at him as soon as he had finished, waving her hand dismissively to show that she didn't care about the change, she just wanted the shots.

Her steady grip on the small tray given to her was the only reason why none of the liquid had been spilt, people knocking in to her with every single step that she took, curse words spewing from her lips before she could stop them.

She wouldn't stop them anyway, because some people really did need to watch where they were dancing.

She had ordered three shots of tequila for each of them, because that was more than enough. Arthur would never be able to handle more than three, Clément had been dancing in a way that made it look as if he was riding a horse, Liam was very drunk and probably wouldn't even be able to drink all three shots, probably spewing random facts or words that weren't actual words, and Juan...

Juan had spent most of the night dancing and staring at Ebony, not that she knew.

He couldn't really help it either, his eyes only wanted to look at one thing, and it was her.

Her blonde hair had been loosely curled in to beach waves, her makeup was simple but full of glam, gloss on her lips, shimmer eyeshadow making her eyes sparkle, highlight on her cheeks making it look like the lights from heaven were shining down on her, she looked beautiful.

The first shot each went down and immediately the group of five simultaneously pulled a face of disgust, the vast change of taste from their normal drinks being a shock to the senses. The second shot almost seemed to knock Arthur and Liam out, their bodies stumbling in to each other, their heads clashing together as if they were rhinoceros, trying to fight one another.

The third shot was refused by both Arthur and Liam, the two racing drivers straight away nominating Ebony to take their shots, which only earned them a very harsh glare, and an insult.

After her two extra shots, Ebony wanted nothing more than to go home.

She had been out drinking, she had enjoyed her time, but now she just wanted to go home and curl up on the sofa, a glass of water held tightly in her grasp as if it were the only thing keeping her alive.

"I'm going home!"

Ebony shouted over the music, the four boys nodding their heads at her, their thumbs pointing upwards, being pushed in her face, squashing her cheeks.

Her feet moved towards the exit of the club, stumbling slightly since she had chosen to wear a pair of shoes that had a stiletto heel, something which she now regretted. A wave of fresh air hit her body as she exited the building, resting against the wall in order to catch her breath and to try and force her body to sober up just enough for her to make it home in one piece.

It wasn't far to walk, she knew that.

But, the heels had to go.

"What are you doing?"

Juan Manuel Correa shouted as he too left the club, having spotted her sat on the ground outside the club, pulling at her heels, his smile full of confusion.

"I'm taking my shoes off! I'd rather walk on hot fucking stones! Remind me to never wear heels again!" The Moretti girl laughed as he helped her take her shoes off, joking that if they didn't come off that he would have to carry her back to her apartment.

The blonde woman furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as Juan too began to take off his shoes, staying standing as he did so which meant that he was hopping around on one foot, cursing in Spanish every single time that he nearly fell over.

The sneakers that he had just yanked from off his feet, were pushed on to her bare feet as she still laid on the asphalt, the shoes being way too big for feet, but they were comfortable.

"You need shoes on, you never know if there's glass on the ground." Juan spoke calmly as he helped her back to her feet, his own now only being covered by the thin fabric of his black socks.

Ebony simply pointed towards his feet, causing the Correa man to wiggle his toes, giggles leaving his lips.

"I'll wear your heels if I have to, Ebonyyy." Juan spoke, his cheeks flushed red, his body swaying slightly from how drunk he was.

The other three that were Arthur Leclerc, Liam Lawson and Clément Novalak were staying in the club, but for Juan, as soon as he saw Ebony leaving by herself, he knew that he had to go with her.

He couldn't leave her by herself, or let her walk home by herself in the middle of the night, drunk. He would never forgive himself if something happened to her.

The arm of the Ecudorian racing driver wrapped loosely around Ebony's shoulders as they walked together, heading back to her apartment, their giggles being heard from a couple of streets away, their voices as they sung random songs together sounding like strangled cats.

Ebony Moretti did not ask for a guy like Juan Manuel Correa to enter her life, especially the way that he did, drunk on her doorstep, but she liked having him around.

She felt happy, knowing that if Juan was ever on her doorstep again, that she would never turn him away, because she liked him, he was kind, funny, caring and thoughtful.

Juan had abandoned his friends on a night out clubbing in order to walk her home, and if she was being honest, she couldn't imagine her life without him anymore.

The drunken duo stumbled their way in to her apartment, their laughter hushed to avoid waking the whole building up, their feet shuffling in to the living room, their bodies collapsing on to the sofa.

By the time that the other three arrived an hour later, Juan and Ebony were already fast asleep, snoring, cuddled in each others arms.
