I'd walk into school, looking for Luke. It isn't easy, since he's so short, something I got to bring up to him, but I do find him eventually. I'd pick him up, before spinning him around and placing him back down.
"Hey Luke." I'd say to him, as he'd realize it's me. "Oh uh- hey man." He'd say. "Didn't see you there." I knew he was lying, I cannot be missed, especially with my very bright outfit, my fair skin, and blonde hair, I'm like a ghost. A nearly 7 foot giant ghost. "How was your weekend?" I'd ask him.
"It was fine I guess." Luke tells me. "I am looking forward to the trip, can't believe it's already here!"
"Yeah, we're going all the way to D.C. I can't believe it." I'd say to him, as we'd walk to homeroom. The teacher called roll call, and we were then onto the rented coach bus.
"I call the window!" Luke said to me, before dashing into the seat. I'd glare, before I sat down.
"Ugh, why are these seats so small?" I'd say. I'd hear Luke chuckle a bit, so I pulled up the arm rest, the only thing separating us, and let me sprawl out, onto his seat, sort of pinning him against the window. I'd sneer, as he'd give me a dirty look."It's gonna be a long ride shorty, better be prepared to deal with the big guy." I'd tease Luke.
He'd give me another look. "Haha, very funny Derrek." He'd roll his eyes, before plugging in his earbuds. I decided to take a nap, a 4 hour drive is long, so a nice nap will help pass the time.
I felt a soft tapping on my forearm, which woke me up.
"Big guy, we're here." I'd look out the window, squishing Luke a bit, to see Downtown Washington. The Capitol, the Washington Monument, even a bit of the White House, it was all there. The bus pulled into a hotel, and we'd all get out. Me and Luke got the room key, and went off the the lobby bathroom, after all, a 4 hour ride without a bathroom makes you go.After we'd finish up, there was this weird bottle on the counter, sort of at the wall, away from the soap dispenser. Since the dispenser was finished, me and Luke used the bottle. It had a very strong smell. The liquid was soap-like, so we both rubbed it in, the strong smell very much in the air. We'd leave, and head to the dining room, to eat some dinner. I felt sort of tired, but brushed it off as the bus ride. I could tell Luke was tired too, so we both called it quits for the night. The teacher reminded us to set our alarms for 5:30 in the morning, as we had tours all day.
We'd walk into the room, much smaller than I'd think. A bathroom, TV, wardrobe, and a bunk bed.
"I call top bunk!" Luke said. I didn't say anything, as I did want to be on the bottom. Top bunks get too crammed. "Fine with me." I'd say, unpacking, and getting out my sleeping clothes. I'd get changed in the bathroom, after a shower. I'd get into bed, feeling strangely tired.
"Goodnight Luke, see you in the morning." I'd say to him. "Yeah, same here big man." He'd say. I'd shut my eyes, and instantly fall asleep, something that doesn't often happen.
