Ezekiel's POV.

Have you ever heard about a trope called childhood friends to lovers? It's a common trope in romance books. But not for us. We didn't end that way.

"Captain Gutierrez, you have a flight scheduled to the Philippines in an hour." one of my colleague said.

"Okay, I'll get ready." We're now in Madrid, the capital city of Spain. It's a pretty nice place but it reminds me of someone.

"Captain Ezekiel Ravi Gutierrez!Wonderful to meet you here. You look dashing in your uniform."

"Hello, Captain De Guzman. I'm guessing you're my co-pilot today?" I said. We met once at a party in Paris, he's a spanish pilot. I'm not into rumors but someone said that he's been cheating on his wife for about a year now. I can tell, because he's popular with the flight attendants.

"Ah, yes yes. I'm just waiting for someone." he said.

"Who are you waiting for? I hope it's not one of your girls." i said, jokingly.

"Hey! I'm not a cheater okay?"

"I'm not saying that you are."

He's sweating bullets, must be pretty nervous.

"So who is it?" i asked again.

"The daughter of the famous Cillian Rodriguez! I will be escorting her today, she'll be at the first class." What, who again?

"Huh? Who?" is she here?

"I will be escorting Miss Eliana Alicia Rodriguez. She has a flight scheduled to the Philippines. We're the ones who will fly the plane bound to the Philippines. You don't remember?" he asked.

"I know. What I don't know is that why didn't you tell me that someone important is coming here?" Why am i even panicking? She's just someone I know or maybe someone that I used to know.

"Why would i tell you? Besides, I'm the one who's escorting her not you." he said. Asshole.

"I'm gonna head in first." I said. I'm not ready to see here again. We didn't even contacted each other for years, but I did contacted her though she didn't respond.

"Ah! He's here! Captain Gutierrez is here!" one of the FA whispered to the other. I can hear them but I'll pretend that I don't.

"Pst! Hey Ravi! Sa Pilipinas ang flight mo?"

"Oh hey, Crissa. Yes, bound to the Philippines." Crissa is one of my friends here. I'm guessing her flight is also to the Philippines.

"Yay! Ako rin! After ng flight natin, kain tayo halo-halo. For sure mainit sa Pinas." she said.

"I can't, I'm going to visit my parents."

"Ah okay lang! Sa susunod nalang." I really don't want to communicate with people right now. I want to go somewhere far away. Not here because she's here.

"Hahaha! You're so funny Captain De Guzman. Such a joker." Ah, she's here. Her voice is still sweet like honey. Just the way it was before.
