Venus was named after the Roman variant of her mother, Aphrodite.

Somehow, a mixture of Ares and Aphrodite created a girl of so much pain that everyone who knew of her, feared her.

She wasn't very known, of course.

When someone said Venus, most thought of Aphrodite's Roman self.

The young goddess was raised on Olympus, specifically by her mother, since Hephaestus was the one that was married to her and she was the daughter of a love affair.

Ares didn't really care for her, but Aphrodite truly did love her daughter, even if she had a strange way of showing it.

Venus was gorgeous, of course. A daughter of Aphrodite was always nothing less. The girl cared not for looks, she didn't want to be known as just some 'pretty girl.'

She was goddess of so many bad things that she was considered evil, though it wasn't something that was in her control.

"Venus!" Aphrodite's voice rang out, almost like a song, travelling through the walls of their home on Olympus as she made her way to the room of her daughter.

Venus was sitting in the floor of her room, surrounded by an array of different white, pink, and red candles with burning fire melting down onto the carpet, as her mother entered.

"My girl, I told you enough with the candles! You're getting wax on the floor!" Aphrodite scolded with a sigh, flicking her hand.

A wind swept into the room, blowing out the candles and making Venus open her eyes.

She let out a deep breath, seeing her mother walking around her room with no invitation.

"What now, mother?" Venus said, watching Aphrodite begin rifling through her drawers.

"You're going away, my dear" her mother smiled brightly as she took out a few of the pink lacy tank tops that had strawberry, cherry, or love heart patterns.

"Excuse me?" Venus frowned, quickly standing up from the circle of candles.

"Yes! There is adorable place you're going to! So cute" Aphrodite sighed, as if jealous that she wasn't going herself.

"Okay... why?" Venus asked, walking over to the large chest of drawers that Aphrodite was throwing clothes out of, which all ended up magically folded and placed in a large light pink bag with a cursive Venus embroidered on the fabric with a darker pink.

Despite the fact that she didn't actually like the colour pink, it was most of her clothes, which the exception of white.

"Hephaestus does not want you around," Aphrodite shook her head "he wants you gone from here, for at least a little while. So, there is this cute little—"

"Yeah, I get it, it's cute! Where is it?" Venus asked with a huff "and... what is it?"

"Oh! It's called Camp Half-Blood" her mother smiled sweetly.

"A place for... demigods?" the young goddess frowned "no! I don't want to go to some place filled with... demigods!"

"Don't react like that simply because they are different from you," Aphrodite told her as she shook her head "though, it could be busy. There are a lot of them."
