The next morning

Y/N woke up, she stretched and yawned, feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep. She headed to the washroom to freshen up, washing her face and brushing her hair. After getting ready, she made her way downstairs, expecting to start her day as usual. when she saw him - Jungkook, sitting in the dimly lit living room, his eyes fixed on her with an unnerving intensity. The air was thick with tension as Y/N approached him, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Good morning, Jungkook..."

His response was low and husky, sending shivers down her spine. "Morning... I've been waiting."

As they spoke, Y/N's gaze fell upon a jagged red mark on Jungkook face, like a gash in his otherwise flawless skin. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she asked, her voice trembling.

"What happened to your face?"

Jungkook expression turned sheepish, and he rubbed the red mark on his cheek. "Just a little accident," he said, his voice low.

"An accident?" Y/N repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jungkook nodded, his eyes locking onto hers. "Yeah. I walked into a door."

The tension between them was palpable, and Y/N couldn't shake off the feeling that Jungkook was hiding something.

"Let's have breakfast, wait here let me prepare breakfast " Jungkook suggested, breaking the silence.Y/N stepped forward, intercepting Jungkook path to the kitchen. "I'll make breakfast today," she said, her voice firm but gentle.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, surprised by her sudden intervention. "You don't have to," he replied, his deep voice tinged with a hint of curiosity.

"I want to," Y/N insisted, her eyes locking onto his for a brief moment before she slipped past him into the kitchen.

Jungkook watched her go, his expression unreadable. He took a seat at the table, his gaze fixed on the doorway, waiting for Y/N to return.

The silence between them grew thicker as the minutes ticked by. Y/N busied herself in the kitchen, the clinking of pots and pans the only sound breaking the stillness. Finally, breakfast was ready, and Y/N carried the tray to the table. Jungkook eyes never left hers as she set the food down.

They sat down together, the tension between them palpable. Y/N hesitated, unsure how to broach the subject weighing on her mind.

"Jungkook, sir..." she began, her voice hesitant.

Jungkook gaze snapped to hers, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"...your mom, dad... do they know about your hand injury?" Y/N asked, her words tumbling out in a rush.

Jungkook expression turned icy, his jaw clenched. " There don't have time for this," he growled, his voice low and menacing.

Jungkook's gaze bored into hers, his eyes flashing with warning "You don't want to get involved in my business."

Y/N's heart racing, she nodded hastily. "Sorry, I won't ask again." Jungkook pushed back his chair, the scraping sound echoing through the room. "I have to go," he announced, his voice curt.

Y/N's brow furrowed with concern as she gazed at Jungkook plastered hand. "Jungkook, sir, your hand is still in plaster. The doctor told you to rest. Don't think it's not a good idea to go to university today ?"

Jungkook expression turned dismissive. "It's just a normal plaster, it'll recover in a week. Teaching is important, I have to go."

Y/N's eyes widened, her voice laced with worry. "But, Jungkook, sir, what if you injure it further? Your health is more important than-"

Jungkook cut her off, his tone firm. "I said I'm fine. Finish your breakfast, I'm waiting in the car."With that, he turned and strode out of the room, leaving Y/N feeling frustrated and concerned.

She quickly finished her breakfast, her mind racing with thoughts of Jungkook well-being.

As she stood up to leave, her eyes landed on Jungkook wallet, forgotten on the table.

She picked it up, intending to return it to him. As she opened the wallet to confirm his ID, her eyes widened.

Jungkook identification card revealed his birth date: February 18, 1997.Y/N tucked the ID back into the wallet and hurried towards the car, spotting Jungkook stern face through the window.

She opened the door and slipped into the passenger seat, handing Jungkook his wallet.

"Jungkook, sir, you forgot this," Y/N said, trying to sound casual.

Jungkook eyes narrowed, his gaze flicking to the wallet before returning to the road.

"Thanks," he muttered, his voice low.

Y/N hesitated, wondering if she should mention his birthday. But something held her back.

Instead, she asked, "Jungkook, sir, are you sure you're okay to drive? Your hand-"

"It's fine," Jungkook cut her off, his jaw clenched. The car hummed along the familiar route, the rhythmic ticking of the windshield wipers a soothing counterpoint to the tense silence between Y/N and Jungkook.

"Jungkook, sir," Y/N began hesitantly, her voice barely audible over the wind whistling past the car windows. "Your birthday is coming up soon, isn't it?"
Jungkook gaze flickered towards her, his expression unreadable. "Yeah, so?"
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. "I was just wondering if you have any plans."
Jungkook lips curled into a wry smile. "Plans? Nah, not really. I don't celebrate birthdays "

Y/N's brows furrowed. "Why not?"

Jungkook's gaze dropped, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't have anyone to celebrate with. As I said before, my family doesn't have time for this."

Y/N felt a pang of sadness, imagining Jungkook spending his birthday alone. Her heart out to him, and she found herself making a silent promise to make his next one unforgettable.

When they arrived at the university, Jungkook turned off the engine and turned to Y/N.

"I'll be busy today. So no need to come in the evening for tution "he said, his voice firm.she watched Jungkook step out of the car, his plastered hand caught her attention. She felt a surge of concern and quickly followed him.

"Jungkook, sir, wait!" Y/N called out, hurrying to catch up to him.He turned, his eyes questioning.

"Be careful, okay? Your hand-" Jungkook don't say anything leave from there.
