the font of title is intentionally funky because it would suit the work.

premise:

In a world where the supernatural does not exist, Alcestis Ashwood is a 17-year-old engineering student at Cairo University. But her case is a curious one, indeed!

She can hear the pens gossiping about her struggles and the calculator plotting her demise. The MATLAB application on her laptop howls with laughter whenever she attempts to write a code, and Faraday's Law seems to throw her into an induced EMF function with Schrödinger's equation as her opponent!

In this dance of wits, the desk is her battlefield, and her intelligence is her sword. The consecutive battles eventually lead her to Dr. Mostafa Abdeen - the ultimate boss with his statics final!

Can she make it into Computer Engineering unscathed?!

❦︎ 'The Case of Bloodthirsty Calculators' is written as a parallel to 'The Case of Ghostly Garnish' and both of our entries are in the Shortys contest by @Poetry profile xD

'The Case of Bloodthirsty Calculators' is a spin-off tale of her work, "Oblivion, A Timeless Void" and you should be checking out both of those works on her profile because her writing is simply too amazing! 🫶  and if you don't know it yet, 'The Case of Ghostly Garnish' is a spin-off of Second Chances XD

Though both the works are written in script style, there's a parallel for the writing styles!

"Oblivion, A Timeless Void" is written in third person POV and this spin off tale is written in first person POV, while, "Second Chances" is written in first person POV mostly and the spin off tale is written in third person POV.

If you love yourself humor with a side of fantasy, you SHOULD go check out her work, "The Case of Bloodthirsty Calculators" and go give her a follow because she deserves all of the love and praise ❤️❤️

If you want more serious Fantasy work and want a work where every plot twist makes you question what you truly knew about the characters and the process, you SHOULD check out "Oblivion, A Timeless Void" <3

Hope you have a great day/night!
Saramitra ❤️
