A few days after the twins were born , Maria made a decisive move. She filed for divorce from Emilio, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce proceedings were swift, and Maria managed to secure a substantial portion of Emilio's assets. She walked away with half of his money, a significant sum that gave her a fresh start and a sense of liberation.

The news hit Emilio hard. The financial and emotional blow was staggering. He roared with anger when he learned of Maria's decision, his fury turning toward Jennifer, whom he blamed for the entire situation.

One evening, Emilio stormed into the kitchen where Jennifer was preparing dinner. His face was red with rage, his movements aggressive and erratic.

"This is all your fault!" Emilio shouted, slamming his hand on the table. "Maria's divorce was your doing! You must have convinced her to leave me!"

Jennifer looked up, startled and confused. "What are you talking about? Maria made her own decision."

Emilio's eyes were wild with anger. "She took half my money! And now I'm left with nothing because of you! You poisoned her against me!"

Jennifer's heart pounded with a mix of fear and frustration. "I had nothing to do with her decision. Maria made her choice based on her own reasons. I didn't force her to do anything."

Emilio's face twisted in disbelief and fury. "You're lying! You always have a way of manipulating things. I bet you told her everything about how miserable we are here, how awful I am. You've been scheming behind my back!"

Jennifer's eyes filled with tears of frustration. "I didn't do anything to make her leave. You're the one who drove her away with your behavior."

Emilio's anger didn't wane. He continued to berate her, his accusations growing more vehement. "You think you can just sit here and act innocent? You and Maria have been conspiring against me! You should be grateful I even let you stay here!"

Jennifer felt overwhelmed by the torrent of Emilio's rage. "I'm tired of this, Emilio. I didn't ask for any of this. I'm just trying to get by and take care of our kids."

But Emilio was beyond reasoning. He continued to vent his frustration, blaming Jennifer for the divorce and the loss of his money. As the shouting escalated, Jennifer retreated into the silence of her own thoughts, feeling a mix of despair and helplessness as Emilio's anger continued to consume the space around them.

The day after Maria's departure, Emilio's anger still simmered. He stormed into Jennifer's room, where she had been trying to find some semblance of peace amidst the chaos.

"Get up," he snapped, his voice sharp and commanding. "You're moving back into the master bedroom."

Jennifer, already on edge from the recent turmoil, looked at him with a mix of fear and exhaustion. "But I—"

"Don't argue with me," Emilio cut her off. "You belong in the master bedroom. Maria's gone, and I'm not letting you stay here in your little corner."

Jennifer reluctantly gathered her things, her movements slow and heavy with resignation. She followed Emilio back to the master bedroom, the room now feeling oppressive and cold. As she began to unpack her belongings, Emilio's mood remained volatile.

Once they were in the bedroom, Emilio's anger flared again. He began to hurl insults at Jennifer, his face a mask of contempt.

"Look at you," he sneered. "You're nothing more than a second-rate replacement. How did you ever think you'd be worth anything more? You're just as pathetic as ever."

Jennifer kept her head down, her eyes stinging with tears. She focused on rearranging her things, trying to block out Emilio's cruel words.

"You think you're entitled to something better?" Emilio continued, pacing the room. "You're lucky I even let you stay here. You're a burden, not a partner."
