"Will you stop it, for god sake?" She shouted right in front of her husband, to be precise her husband for the contract. After she entered his cabin along with him.
"Stop what, Ella?" He retorted back fuming in anger looking at her cold eyes. His hands were inside his pants pocket, hovering over her small petite.
"You behaving like my husband, can you please stop doing it?" She said stepping a little back to maintain some decent distance between them.
"Behaving like your Husband? Well, I am your Husband, Mrs.Romano." He smirked saying that and placing his hands on the wall, beside her midriff to cage her between him and the wall, emphasizing the last words a little louder.
"My Husband? Yeah, the contract one." She said while folding her arms around her chest, chuckling at the last part. Making sure that he doesn't forget about his own deed.
"Still your Husband, Ella. So behave like a good little wife and wear that ring back." he said this time placing his hands on her waist, pulling her in. Indicating the ring that she removed before arriving in the office today, and that pissed the hell out of her contract husband for some reason.
Jerking his hands off of her, she pushed him away with all her strength. "And what made you think I would do that?" she spatted getting mad now.
"I said wear the damn ring, Ella." He demanded with the same intensity of words, both fuming in anger, one desperate to make him confess and one so scared to accept his own defeat of falling for her.
Taking the ring out of her purse, she placed it on the table, and left his cabin after saying "You cannot dominate me like that."
"Ugh why is she so stubborn?" He mumbled fisting his hair frustratingly. His eyes then went to the ring that was placed on his table and all those times when he made this wedding a contract came to his mind.
It was a contract marriage more of a business deal between these two CEOs. This collaboration between the two popular business tycoons made the whole industry go crazy. They are more like a power couple for the media and paparazzi, their marriage undoubtedly brings a lot of profits to their businesses but at the cost of never falling for each other. It's not something forbidden for them but their contract that mere piece of paper, which every time reminds them that what they have signed for, always took away the courage to confess.
And right in the moment, he regretted nothing but his decision to make that contract, the regression of letting his ego of never falling in love for anyone take over him, but now when he did fell head over heels for his woman, he regretted every bit of it.
Sighing at his thought he went back to his work, but that little ring of his wife stole his attention every here and then. Soon, time passed and it was eight in night and he remembered about the event that he needed to attend with his wife, she must be informed about the same by her assistant. Texting her that he would wait for her by nine, he went to change himself.
Waiting for her outside their mansion, he was fidgeting with his ring remembering the day she made him wear this band which never meant anything to him but now it felt the most precious thing. Soon his trance of thoughts were broken due to the clicking of heels, and his jaw dropped. There is his wife, the woman who herself is a walking goddess looking so enchanting wearing that long black dress with a slit just above her right thigh revealing her long slender leg, her long hair just above her hips, her revealed collarbone, and especially the way she walks, her confidence, chin up , straight back as if she owns the ground she walks on.
Looking into his eyes she walked toward his way, standing before him she said, "Shall we?" but didn't get any response from his side, he was staring into her eyes, his chest swelling with pride looking at her, this woman was his wife, HIS WIFE.
