Charles had decided to show Naruto a machine he'd built with magneto call cerebro that amplified his telepathy.

This amazing device lets Charles connect to every single mind in the entire world.
Naruto asked to try out the machine.

But Charles refused, saying he wasn't ready and the overload of the cerebral cortex could potentially kill him.

Naruto, despite being a powerful telepath, understood the dangers.
Although he's mastered most of his psychic abilities, he hadn't perfected them. In truth, Charles feared what he'd use it for should he be given the chance.

He knew exactly what he'd use it for.
To force the hidden leaf village to turn on each other, destroying the village.

Naruto managed to keep Jean out of his thoughts. But the professor was still more powerful than Jean and Naruto.
He'd easily read Naruto's thoughts.

After seeing the cerebro, he knew why Naruto wanted to use it and who he would use it on first. The hidden leaf.

Naruto then said.

"It's sounds like a fascinating machine.
Perhaps one day I'll be able to use it.
If I become a stronger telepath than you.
Stronger than Professor Jean.

I'll use it to finally achieve my dream of world peace. A world without conflict.
Without war hatred or destruction.
A world free from children becoming soldiers and mercenaries for hire."

And Charles said.

"This machine is not designed for that purpose, Naruto. The original purpose of the cerebro is to locate other mutants.
Think of it like a tracking device.

By focusing on the minds of all the mutants in the world, I can locate them.
Then rescue and teach them at my school. I found you using the cerebro.

The cerebro increases my telepathy up to a distance of more than 250 miles.
I can find any mutant anywhere in the world. Or kill everyone in the world.
My moral code prevents me from that.

I had sworn never to use my powers to do humanity any harm for personal gain. I swore to be a guide to coexistence between mutants and humans. That is my dream. My idea of world peace."

And Naruto said.

"Well. Perhaps we're the same.
But at the same time,we're different.
Our ideas are different in regard to world peace but at the same time.

We both want the same thing.
We seek to bring order and balance.
Without the use of force or violence.

But sometimes,violence is unavoidable.
Sometimes, force must be used if needed. But at the same time, it should only be a last resort to resolve conflict."

And Charles said.

"Your moral compass still needs to be fine-tuned,my young student. In time, your path will become clear to you.

We learn through our mistakes.
When we learn from them. We see what we can do differently to prevent what caused them to begin with.

Sometimes, there's no better teacher than failure. When we fail,we succeed.
When we succeed, we have room to improve. It's when we accept our failure that we truly learn from it,my student."

And Naruto said.

"So in order for humans to accept mutants and coexist together, they must take the first step to admit their wrong.
That because we're different, we're still the same as them. To accept evolution.

Somehow,I don't believe the world views us as its saviors. Instead, they fear us, the refuse to acknowledge and understand us, so they persecute us.

So, because they persecute us, they resort to calling us freaks and monsters.
They fear our abilities and see us as destroyers and unstoppable tyrants."
