"Is she awake?" Whispers questioned from Maebh's bedroom door at 2am. "Why would she still be awake you moron?" Another voice hissed with a French accent. "How did you even convince me to do this you idiot?" The French voice grumbled indignantly. "Because Cassien, I'm your mum and I needed help getting here, you're the only God I get along with that can summon portals."
"Ugh. Fine, but you owe me a Winter melon boba. With rainbow jelly of course." The French voice, presumably Cassien huffed. "Okay Tithead." The other voice snickered with humour. "Don't try me bitch, I'll tell your boyfriend, Malnyr." Cassien spat.
"Ugh! Shut up!!" Maebh's tired, croaky voice yelled, tired and angry. "Shit." Both the voices winced in unison before entering the room, filling it with an eerie, dim glow. One of the figures was a short pale man wearing a tight shirt that read "I love nerds" which lay tight around his large muscles but most noticeably his large, muscly pecs. He also wore some Bell bottom jeans and black converse trainers. He pushed his golden rimmed, round glasses up on his nose bridge and ran a frustrated hand through his thick, short, ginger hair. His body emitted a forest green glow with hints of silver. Embroidered on his jeans was art of insects, mainly stick insects and centipedes. "Ugh... Hello Maebh. I am Cassien..." He muttered in a thick French accent.
The other figure was a tall, gothic woman with a dress of black silk that was cut to show her belly button and scars below her breasts. The strap of her dress was a black, leather pentagram attached to a black choker necklace. Her hair was black and teased to be in the style of a bats nest. She chuckled with a grin "Hello Maebh!!" She greeted; a misty black fog seemed to glow from her. "I am Qurdia!" She boasted, giving a wide grin, it was highly noticeable that she had a slight tooth gap with bright, large front teeth. She smiled brightly, obviously she had planned something, after all, the goddess of forgiveness and her son, the god of entomology were not here for no reason, right?
"So, uh... What do you need?" Maebh queried, an unsure gleam in her eyes as she threw her head back "ngh!" She grunted, Qurdia gasped curiously as Maebh ticked but Cassien whispered something in his mother's ear, and she nodded and closed her gaping mouth.
"We... Come with a question. We hear you have a werewolf friend, hm? For one of my projects, I need some blood of a wolf born werewolf." Cassien hummed. "What...?" Maebh gawked in amazement. "Only a teeny bit." Cassien replied, trying to make the situation better and failing miserably to reassure her that it wouldn't be terrifying for poor old Knotter.
"Why are you asking this at..." Maebh looked at her alarm clock. "2 in the FUCKING morning!?!" She groaned, exhausted. Cassien looked at his mother, "I told you humans aren't nocturnal." he huffed, "How would you know?" Qurdia questioned. "Maybe, just MAYBE because my girlfriend is a human?" Cassien sputtered. Qurdia rolled her eyes and yawned unenthusiastically at her son's retort. "Okay bitchy." She smirked, obviously doing it to piss off her son. Cassien grumbled, his misty glow brightening and thrashing angrily.
Maebh yawned and nuzzled into her pillow, her hair smothering her nose as she dozed off again, falling into a dark yet bliss, dreamless sleep.
A few weeks later, she was dozing off in her maths class, until she was called out into the hall, she had a visitor. She entered the hall with his small hands trying to be inside the miniscule pockets that were a part of her black, women's school trousers.
Lo and behold, there, in front of her stood Cassien, but he was missing that faint glow that usually surrounded him. "Ugh... My mother wants me to... meet your werewolf friend." He muttered disdainfully. "Oh, Knotter is in the other room, he's in set 3 maths." Maebh replied nonchalantly, guiding the 4'11 deity to the next room.
After 5 minutes of bribery, Knotter was convinced to follow Maebh and this strange speccy man. "GINGER MINGE!" A random teenage boy shouted from down the hall before running and laughing. Cassien scoffed, his eyes narrowing in bitter annoyance. "Ugh, I can't wait to return to my love." he cooed with pure love clouding his pupils. His eyes began to fog with a light sheen of golden hue. "Ah... anyway little werewolf, I need to ask if I can borrow around a litre of your blood?" Cassien inquired, Knotter raised his eyebrows. "What...?" He gasped in utter confusion; he looked like the epitome of the word baffled.
"I need your blood for a project. It's to you know, see the fate of others." Cassien hummed gorgeously. Knotter blinked thrice. "...Come again?" He muttered. "You heard me." Cassien huffed, to which knotter replied with a long exhale. "Why do you need to do this?" He yawned. "None of your damn business." Cassien retaliated, unnecessarily defensive.
"Is it about... Lacey?"
"I said, its none of your FUCKING business you mutt!" Cassien snarled, a deep black fog clouding the hall. "It is not about your insolent, pathetic little sister! This is to help me save someone!!" Cassien yelled, his voice cracking with pure emotion. Knotter ceased his questions within a millisecond, sensing that it was truly not his place to know.
"I... I just need it for somebody I love..." Cassien sighed, running a hand through his soft, ginger hair. "Now," He began, clearing his throat. "May I?" He inquired, discreetly wiping his eyes. Knotter sighed before giving a sharp nod, knowing he was benefitting somebody, even if he didn't know who he was doing this for.
After a few hours, the final school bell rang and Knotter and Cassien went to Maebh's house. Maebh's mother shouted crudely in Italian, prompting Maebh to roll her eyes. One by one, the trio entered her barren room. Cassien spawned a sofa and some blood taking supplies. "Now, this will hurt and make you woozy, you okay with blood lad?" Cassien muttered, placing the blood drawing needle into Knotters arm. "Of course I am, I'm a werewolf" Kotter replied hesitantly. "Show off" Cassien responded with a grumble.
