(Reece's pov)
Marjorie hadnt came home yet,she was working the late shift. I missed her so much,but she wouldn't be home until 7. Only 2 more hours. I can do it.
I was laying on our bed,on Marjories side when all of a sudden my phone started ringing. It was Marjorie.
"Hey you," I said smiling. "What do you need."
"Reece dont bother about picking me up tonight Chars dropping me home." She said sighing,it's probably been a long day for her.
"Okay gorgeous,I miss you."
"I miss you to,I've gotta get back to work though I love you"
"You too."
I felt bad,all Marjorie needed to hear was the three words that would make her the happiest woman alive. But even after talking with char I couldn't bring myself to say it.
I was distracted by my thoughts when I heard Marjories voice breaking while slightly raising it. "Reece ive had enough,you can't say the three words I need you to! I know you don't love me,"
"Marjorie, I'm so sorry I do,I can't say the words please I'm trying." I say softly,holding back tears.
"No I've had enough, I'm done." And with that, the call ended.
What just happened? My gorgeous girl left me. I go downstairs and grab a glass of water choking back my tears. I just sit there,collecting myself. I lay my head onto the kitchen island. And fall asleep. About an hour later I'm woken up by someone screaming my name. Was it Marjorie?
Autumns POV :
"REECE!!" I say walking into his house. I always had a spare key just incase. He gave it to me when he took me out for dinner and a show. I walk into the kitchen as he looks at me. He looks like he'd been crying. His eyes puffy and red. "Aut, I-" i silence him by pulling him into an embrace. "Reece why haven't you answered any of your calls or texts. Me and Marjorie have been worried."
He looks at me,almost shocked. "Yes Marjorie has been worried, I overheard the conversation with you and her while I was outside talking to Agatha." He just sighs. He couldve done anything if I didn't get here faster. He goes to the fridge and grabs a can of 7up. "Aut I miss Marjorie. She left me,I need her. I can't live without her." I looked at him,with a lot of sympathy. He meant that. He couldn't live without Marjorie she was the only person who made him happy, he would rot away. I said I was gonna go call winter to say I'll be home late and he just nodded. I left the room and immediately looked for the contact
'Marjorie'.
Marjorie's PoV:
I'm on the last 20 minutes of work. I'm alone now. Everyone's at home with their partner and I'm still working. I didn't mean what I said to Reece. I loved him. I just didn't think he felt the same, I just need to hear those three words. I was interrupted by autumn calling me. "What" she immediately started explaining what happened,how she found Reece and that I need to get home NOW. I didn't take that lightly and grabbed my keys. I drove myself in this morning so I could drive myself home but char wanted to take me with her. After my argument with Reece I just told her to go straight home.
I pulled into the driveway and sat there,only for about 30 seconds. I didn't know what I was going to walk into. I opened the door and aut rushed over immediately. "Marjorie I need to go home, look after him. Please."
I nod and smile as she walks out. I just sigh. She cares about her brother. Then I shake my thoughts away and walk into the kitchen. I see Reece with his head in his hand. He was shaking ever so slightly. His breathing was a bit shaky. I sit next to him and put my hand on his thigh. He instantly calms down and looks at me. Under his eyes red raw and bloodshot. "Marjorie-" I cut him off my slamming my lips into his. As I pull out his eyes look full of hope. "Reece I'm sorry. I love you and I always will. I don't mean anything I said,I understand you can't say it and I will always support you. Dont feel pressured to say it, take your time" with that, I pull him into an embrace happy to feel him reciprocate.
Reeces POV :
She's back. I didn't feel like she was gonna come back but my thoughts were proved wrong. I will be able to say the words she needs to hear. After about two minutes of hugging, she offers to sit on the sofa. And of course I said yes. She takes my hand and pushes me onto the sofa,very carefully though. She climbs on to my lap and rests her head on my shoulder. She's so gorgeous. I hear her mumble something, I could just about hear it. "I missed you,I'm sorry."
"I missed you too gorgeous,never leave me again,please."
"Never again, I love you"
"You too." I sigh, but she just slams her lips into mine, she does love me. And for the rest of the night we just cuddle and watch movies. One day I'll be able to say it. One day.
