I turned the faucet on and gently rinsed my face with cold water. My mind kept replaying the same moment over and over. I looked up from the sink to see my face in the mirror flushed a bright red color. This cannot be happening. Not now, not ever. He has Ally. I walked over to the shower and turned the shower valve hoping this would occupy my mind.

The birds chirped their beautiful morning songs as I woke up. It hasn't felt this peaceful since... Tom. I threw the duvet from my tired body. I glanced at Hunter's bed and noticed how pretty he looked while sleeping. I quickly turned back and quietly got up from my bed. I opened the door and saw Miriam and Ashely talking outside. I stepped out to go join them.

"Good morning, Miriam." I yawned as she ran up to hug me. "I'm sorry I got eliminated-" I was hushed instantly.

"Don't apologize hun.. things happen and I know you tried your best!" She smiled hugging me even tighter.

Ashely smiled at both of us in awe. "Aren't you two the cutest! But seriously Jake. listen to her. You tried your best and you gave it your all! That's more than me and Miriam could ever ask for." She said as she motioned her hand for us to follow her.

Miriam let go of the hug and followed Ashely and I followed right behind her. Why is Ashely being so nice to me. I got her eliminated, it was all my fault. I stood there with my head down.

They both turned back and sighed. Ashely frowned, "Jake you if its about my elimination don't worry about it. It's ok." She nodded and faced forward.

I nodded and walked with them. We soon made it to the café that was newer looking compared to the motel. I took a step in and saw Ellie and Tess talking about something. They both glanced up at me and went back to their conversation. Ashely waved me over to a table with the morning sun beaming on it.

I took a seat and looked at them both. "Can I tell you guys something. It happened right before I left the camp." I tilted my head downwards nervously.

Ashely placed her hand on mine. "Tell us anything you want too." She gently said nodding for me to continue.

"Well before the bus came Tom came to me. He wanted to start things over, but I didn't feel anything towards him anymore. I even declined. Did I make a mistake?" I asked taking a sip of the coffee a waitress gave me.

Miriam and Ashely faced each other in shock. "You finally did it Jake. You're learning." Miriam said facing back towards me.

Ashely added "You made the right choice. For you and him." She smiled gently while taking a bite of her toast.

We continued to talk throughout the morning. As I was finishing my food somebody walked into the café. It was Hunter.

He glanced over at me and smiled. I smiled back waving at him. He waved back before sitting with Tess and Ellie. I stared at him in awe.

"Ahem... we are still here y'know?" Ashely giggled Miriam nodded giving me the knowing look. I glared at them both before leaving the café.
