For Jess

"I can't take it anymore." I whispered to no one as I sunk to the floor of my bathroom. There was a light knock on the door before it swung open and my father stepped, belt wrapped around his strong hands.

I shielded my face with my hands, but before the leather made contact with my body, I heard another voice in the room.

"Jess? Where are you?!"

Louis.

"Of course." my father growled and walked out to my bedroom, grabbing Louis and throwing him down next to me. His arms wrapped around my weak body and I felt tears sting my eyes. "You ruined my daughter!" my father screamed and swung his arm, hitting my boyfriend across the shoulder.

"Stop! He didn't ruin me, you did! He saved me!" I screamed and tears overflowed my eyes, trying to look up at the man who has used me as a punching bag for twelve years.

He swung his arm down and Louis jumped on top of me, taking all of the blows. I could feel his body shaking in pain and could hear his whimpers in my ear.

He continued to hit Lou and I could feel the blood dripping from his back onto my shirt. There was the sound of sirens in the background and I heard my dad gasp before making one last extra hard whip and leaving the room.

All of Louis' weight was now on me, and I looked up at his face. He looked weak, and full of pain.

"Louis... I'm so sorry." I sobbed and gently laid his body on the cold tile floor. A puddle of blood quickly formed around his warm, pale body. "Oh my god." I started crying harder and Louis' blue eyes looked up at me.

"Jess... I love you so much." his hoarse voice got out as he started to cough.

"I love you too, but no need for goodbye's, your going to be fine, we can hear the sirens. You are going to the hospital and you are going to be good as new." I said through tears and brushed his hair out of his face.

"A-Are there going to be carrots?" he asked with a smile and I kissed him.

"Lou, you fucking hate carrots." I smiled back and he laughed, resulting in another couching fit.
