The destruction of the amplifiers had dealt a significant blow to the plans of the Demon Lord's Domain and Amidonia. But Augustus knew that this victory was fleeting—a small spark in the vast darkness that loomed over Elfrieden. The Demon Lord's ominous message echoed in his mind, a chilling reminder that the true battle had yet to begin.

Royal Palace: Gathering Allies

Augustus stood before the assembled council, a mixture of military leaders, noblemen, and trusted advisors. His silver hair caught the light of the torches, and his golden eyes swept across the room with unwavering resolve.

"We have struck a blow against our enemies," Augustus began, "but the Demon Lord is far from defeated. We must prepare for what's to come. We need more than just our current forces; we need new allies, new technologies, and new strategies."

Liscia, standing beside him, nodded. "The Demon Lord's Domain has power beyond anything we've faced before. We need to strengthen our magical defenses, but we also need allies who can help us resist this dark force."

Duke Carmine grinned, his eyes twinkling with anticipation. "So, where do we find these allies, Augustus? The Union of Eastern Nations is still divided, and Zem's mercenaries will only fight for whoever pays them the most."

Augustus's expression was thoughtful. "There is one place we haven't considered yet—the Great Northern Forests. The realm of the High Elves. They have kept to themselves for centuries, but they are known for their powerful magic and wisdom. If we can convince them to join our cause, it could turn the tide in our favor."

Count Marx looked skeptical. "The High Elves? They are isolationists, fiercely protective of their borders. They've never involved themselves in the affairs of other nations."

Augustus nodded. "True. But they have a deep respect for nature and life, and the Demon Lord's Domain threatens everything they hold dear. If we can show them that this war is not just ours but a battle for the very soul of this world, they may be willing to help."

Liscia looked at Augustus with admiration. "You're right. It's worth a try. But who will go? The journey to the Great Northern Forests is perilous, and the Elves are known for their distrust of outsiders."

Augustus smiled slightly. "I will go. I'll lead a small delegation to speak with the Elves personally. We'll show them that we come in peace and with respect."

King Albert nodded. "Very well, Augustus. I authorize this mission. But be careful; the path to the Northern Forests is fraught with danger."

Augustus bowed. "Thank you, Your Majesty. I will leave immediately."

The Journey to the Northern Forests: A Perilous Path

Augustus, Liscia, and a small group of trusted soldiers and mages set out for the Great Northern Forests. The journey was long and arduous, taking them through dense woods, over steep mountains, and across treacherous rivers.

Along the way, they encountered numerous challenges. At one point, they were ambushed by a group of rogue mercenaries, hired by Amidonia to disrupt their progress. But Augustus and his team fought bravely, using their skills and teamwork to defeat the attackers.

As they continued, they faced harsh weather, dangerous wildlife, and rough terrain. But Augustus remained focused, his determination unwavering. He knew that this journey was vital to their cause.

One evening, as they set up camp near a fast-flowing river, Augustus sat with Liscia by the fire. She looked at him, her expression thoughtful. "Do you really think the High Elves will help us, Augustus?"
