I stared at Hyewon, trying not to tear up as she took and I said, "Thank you. You barely even know me but you seem more like family than my actual family."
She pulled me close and hugged me as I sobbed into her shoulder. I cried and cried till I ran out of tears.
I pulled away and Hyewon said, "Go to sleep. You need the energy."
I nodded and lay down, pulling the blanket up to my chin.
I went to sleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow.
~Next morning~
Chan pov
I walked into Hyewon's room and saw that she wasn't there. She was probably with the doctor. I saw that her roommate was asleep. Damn, she was so adorable. But she would never know that I had always known her. That I had slowly admired her from afar while I watched her laugh with her friends.
She stirred in her sleep and I sat down on a chair near Hyewon's bed while scrolling through my phone.
I heard a cough and looked up to see that Anne was awake. Even when she had just woken up, she was beautiful.
"Good morning." I said, offering her a smile.
"Good morning." she said. To my surprise, she returned the smile. "Uh, could you get my wheelchair please?" she said, pointing to the corner of the room.
"Sure." I said, getting the wheechair.
She carefully sat on it and went out the door while I stared at her back in surprise.
