Leaving the apartment, Polka had come to the park across the street, but found himself alone. Looking to his phone, he saw it was only a few minutes past midnight, yet Towa wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"Guess I should've expected this." Polka sighed, "Well, what did you expect, Polka? Especially after I had told her that, I would probably avoid me too."

Leaving the park, Polka walked along the sidewalk and deeper into the city, his eyes darting in every direction, from the sky to the sidewalk across the street and even behind him, but Towa was nowhere, "Guess I can just keep looking for her like this, or just wander alone until I'm ready to go home. Towa can fly, so there's obviously places I won't be able to search."

Polka stopped walking and looked up to the night sky, letting out a low sigh, "Maybe it is my fault for telling that to Towa. But now how she feels is all I can think of, why did you have to go and do something so dumb like that, Polka?"

"What are you? Stupid?" Towa's words rang in Polka's head. That was all she told him after he said he wanted to be a Nighteater. After that, the conversation ended and so did their night.

Turning back, Polka decided to head home, but as he passed a convenience store, he stopped and looked through its windows. With his eyes scanning over the shelves stocked with various items, Polka contemplated whether or not to go in as he stood near its doors.

Eventually, a woman had come out holding a single can of beer. She walked to the side of the door, a few feet away from Polka but paid him no attention as she finished off the last of her beer. From her clothes, Polka thought she looked to be a business woman, wearing a white shirt under a black blazer and matching skirt. Her hair was long and in a shade of deep auburn.

Polka did his best to ignore her, but he found himself sneaking a few glances at the older woman. In particular, noticing her skirt was rather short, leading his eyes to wander up and down her long, pale legs.

"Did she just get out of work? It's really late... overtime? Does it really go past midnight?"

Looking at her again, Polka noticed she was looking back at him, forcing him to look away quickly. After a few moments, he slowly looked back to see her still staring, only now she had a small smile on her face.

"Why is she still looking? Is she going to do something? Maybe tell me off?"

"It's not polite to stare, kid." She said with an amused tone.

"S-sorry." Polka said in a small voice, as he looked to the ground.

"Hold on, how old are you?" She asked.

Polka stayed quiet and the woman moved a little closer to Polka, causing him to tense up a bit. As she came closer, Polka had realized the top buttons of her blouse were undone, "What are you staring at?" She asked, still with the same amused tone. Polka quickly looked away from her again.

"I already caught you staring at my legs and chest, no point in trying to play innocent now." She said with a laugh.

"Come with me." She said as she started to walk away. For a few moments, Polka just stared at her before quickly following after her.

"Why am I following her? Wait, what's she planning to do with me?!"

"I should let you know, before you ask for anything, I'm not that type of woman, so keep your money. I dress like this because I can, and I may not look like it, but I can certainly handle myself."

"So what brings a boy like you out anyway?"

"I was actually looking for a friend, that's all." Polka said.
