"Did you manage to find the book you needed?" his friend asked, his voice a low murmur as he leaned back in his chair.
The guy was engrossed in his own review, barely acknowledged the question, his eyes glued to the pages in front of him.
"Yeah, I got it," he replied to Heeseung, a hint of amusement in his tone.
"Actually, while I was searching for it, I ran into this really strange girl. I don't know, she just seemed...off." He shrugged, a hint of annoyance in his expression. Heeseung who was still lost in his studies, simply nodded in acknowledgment.
The two friends continued their review session, the quiet hum of the library their only companion. Time seemed to slip away unnoticed, the hours melting into one another as they diligently worked through their notes.
"Hey, what time is it?" Sunghoon asked, finally breaking the silence. He glanced at his watch, his brow furrowing slightly.
"Oh, crap," Heeseung exclaimed, his eyes widening in alarm.
"We're going to be in trouble if we don't get back soon." He scrambled to gather his belongings, a sense of urgency replacing the calm focus of their earlier study session.
Sunghoon, equally flustered, followed suit, and together they rushed out of the library, the weight of their impending scolding from Kei, their dance club leader, hanging heavy in the air.
As they walked, Heeseung suddenly stopped, a curious glint in his eyes.
"Hold on a sec," he said, turning to Sunghoon.
"The girl you met... was she... beautiful?" He paused, a hint of genuine curiosity in his voice.
Sunghoon stopped, a slight frown creasing his brow. "Beautiful? What are you talking about?"
Heeseung, his curiosity evident, continued, "You know, the girl who seemed off to you. Was she beautiful? Just curious. I'm always on the lookout for new faces."
Sunghoon raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his voice. "I don't think that's the reason why you're asking this."
Heeseung chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Alright, alright, you got me," he admitted, raising his hands in mock surrender.
"But seriously, was she beautiful? A girl who's a little... different... that's interesting."
Sunghoon gave him a flat look and continued. "I don't know. I wasn't really paying attention to that. She was just... weird."
Heeseung, his eyes widening, leaned back, a playful smirk on his face. "Weird, huh? What was so weird about her?" He nudged Sunghoon playfully, his curiosity piqued.
Sunghoon, with a sigh, shook his head. "She was... well, she was staring at me with this intense, almost unnerving look."
"Interesting. Tell me more. What did she say?"
Sunghoon, his eyes rolling, shook his head. "Nothing. She just kept staring at me until I finally walked away. It was creepy."
"Well, you never know. Maybe she was just trying to get your attention. Or maybe she's just a little... shy? Either way, I'm interested."
Sunghoon, with a sigh, shook his head. "Let's just get back to the studio before Kei starts throwing dance moves at us."
"Alright, alright. Just thought I'd add some excitement. Besides, you never know, maybe she's the next dance sensation waiting to be discovered."
Sunghoon, with a sigh, shook his head again. "You're hopeless, Heeseung."
