When I was back in New York I would go to parties just to get wasted. I would then come home and take my parents stash, and go to my room and drink until I can't drink anymore. My parents didn't notice because they were so into fighting all the time about every stupid little thing rather it was about my brother, money issues, or my adoption. I didn't know I was adopted until I was 16. That and the fighting first made me drink a lot. It wasn't that I didn't care that i was adopted, but it was because no one even told me that I was until last year. One night my parents finally weren't fighting for once but they noticed that I was drinking a lot so they made me go into rehab for two months and then go to AA meetings every Tuesday. Soon after I got my 6 month chip. I'm a happier person now that I don't drink anymore. I may be happier but my parents still thought that it would be better if I move in with my mom.
