I woke up on the ground with small fires from all the houses that had burned down.
I tried getting the ash off of my face but it just smeared everywhere. I stood up and slowly walked toward what was left of my house.
I was moving burnt wood pieces around and I found some dishes but those are useless. I moved some wood then all of the sudden my hand went numb.
I looked down toward my hand and I saw blood everywhere. There was a nail that went right through my hand. I pulled it off slowly and once that nail left my hand pain shot up my arm like my whole arm was being chopped off. I cried out in pain.
I tried to calm myself down and remembered what I had learned in a first aid class. with my other hand I quickly took off my shirt and wrapped it around my hand and put pressure on it to help stop the bleeding.
I decided to start walking to find a hospital and see if there's anything left in there. while I was walking I stumbled in to something in the rubble. "dads safe" I said out loud.
with my uninjured hand I opened the safe to find a lot of money, a small backpack, a family photo, and a gun. I quickly put those all in the bag and started walking towards where I thought the hospital would be.
I kept walking and there in the distance I could see where the hospital was. It didn't burn down all the way. once I reached the hospital i was looking for anything then I found a metal box and it had some antibiotics.
I grabbed all that I could and but a bandage around me hand with the shirt still on it so it could absorb more blood. then out of nowhere I heard a jet in the distance I start waving my hands until my body freezes.
the plane starts shooting I started running until someone runs out in front of me and the jet shoot them and I feel to the ground and the jet flew away. now I am officially all alone. "why didn't they shoot me" he said out loud.
