Chapter 5

ZEFREGURUZ MANSION
When he heard a knock, the Devil was in the red room lost in thoughts.
"Come in"
"Boss I have some big news."
"What is it?"
"Hazel is still working with Marco. Ever since you brought her to the mansion. I have had my doubts about her and my guts do not lie. Ever." Jesse said a bit scared.
"You know I hate it when people tell me what they feel and think. You also know the consequences if I find out you're lying. I despise lies." The Devil said with a scary tone.
"I will accept any punishment boss but I can't just watch that bitch ruin us," Jess said boldly.
"Such confidence. That's why I like you in the first place." The Devil said smiling.
Jesse was confused.
"You see, I'm the Devil for a reason. Nothing is ever hidden from me. I suspected her from the start and she confirmed my suspicion when I overheard her talking to Marco. They decided to play a game with me, so yeah, why not join in with the fun? Besides, I love this game." The Devil said with his hand in his pocket and he stared at Jesse.
"Wow...just wow. I should have never doubted you." Jesse said bowing to the Devil.
"They did put on quite a show back there but now, it's time for me to have fun with them." The Devil said with a burst of wicked laughter.
Hazel was sent to a different room to have some privacy. She freshened up, got dressed and picked up her laptop. She sat on her bed and began her research on the police outbreak at the gangs encounter.
[Phone rings]
"Hello"
"Meet me at the address I've sent you. Got that!" the unknown voice said sternly.
"Okay!" Hazel said and ended the call.
[Phone chimes]
Hazel received a text message indicating the address she had to go to. Around 11 pm, Hazel sneaked out and went to the location that was sent to her. The place was dark and deserted, giving off a scary vibe that made her very cautious. The building looked rusty and old. When Hazel entered, the room was dark, empty and quiet.
She shouted," Hello! Anyone?"
All of a sudden, someone encircled their hands around Hazel's waist and said, "Finally you are here! I've been waiting for you."
"Did you miss me?" Hazel asked placing her hand on the stranger's hand.
"Hell yeah. I missed you like crazy." The voice said tightening his grip.
The lights came on.
Lo and behold, it was none other than Marco Benadez Rodrigo.
Marco turned Hazel to face him.
"If it isn't Marco Benadez Rodrigo," Hazel said circling her hands around his neck.
"You thought I would never find out that you are my target." She said staring into his eyes.
"Of course, I knew you would. Do you know why?" he asked as he brushed his hands against her lips.
"No"
"Well because you are too damn smart to be that fooled." He said smiling.
"And also, because Nicholas told me." He said winking at her.
"I knew it...Nicholas will have to pay for that." She said jokingly.
"Ahh...come here." He said lifting her and sending her to the next room. Hazel entangled her legs around his waist.
"Hey...What are you doing?" she said avoiding his gaze.
He silenced her by gently kissing her on the lips. Marco opened the door and to Hazel's surprise, there was a neatly laid bed. Marco placed her on it.
"Another step closer and I'm kicking your injured leg," Hazel said leaning backwards away from Marco.
"By the way that was a good aim." He said inching closer and closer.
"Hey...step back!" she said throwing a pillow at him.
She got off the bed trying to run away but Marco pulled her hand.
"You can't punish me like this." He said as he gently kissed her. When they broke the kiss, Hazel said, "But on a serious note I'm so sorry for shooting you and how is everyone doing? They all probably hate me now. It's all because of my brother." She said struggling to mention the word "brother" out her mouth.
"Hey...hey relax. Look at me. All of this will be over soon okay." He said reassuring her with a kiss on the forehead.
FEW WEEKS AGO
Hazel was researching behind the attacks plotted against them. That's when she found out that she had a brother called The Devil. She hacked into the Devil's account and found out all his dirty works and heinous plans. She also read some old transactions her biological father made stealing and cheating so many companies. Her father was a huge fraudster and because of that he made so many enemies. Hazel was shocked at how her mother lied about her biological dad. She quickly went and told Marco everything she had found out. Marco then confessed to her that he killed her dad and that he had no regrets. Hazel also confessed of her knowing about him being Marco and everything she wanted to do from the beginning. Marco then confessed his side of the story and professed his love to her.
They sorted out their differences and settled everything on a positive note.
