Backstory:Charlotte is in an abusive marriage with her husband Scott she has 2 girls aged 1-Lillie~may and 6 year old Evie~leigh.
(Chars POV)
I just finished my shift so i go and collect Lillie~may from the baby room from Sorcha.
C-"hey Sorcha how's Lillie been"
S-"oh yeh she's been grand shes really enjoyed the sensory play we did today"
C-"oh really that's good, well im gonna have too go i need too go pick up Evie~Leigh from after school club"
S-" that's grand see you later Char, bye bye Lillie" Sorcha waves goodbye too us.
C-Bye see you tomorrow,say bye bye lillie"
I put Lillie on my hip and walk out of the building popping my head into the office where marjorie and Mia stood talking.
C-" Bye marjorie bye Mia see you tomorrow"
M-" Bye my love, bye bye Lillie"
Mia just smiles at the both of us and we leave the building and walk over to the car. I start talking away too lillie as she babbles back too me
C-" are we going too go pick up your sister?"
Lillie just looks at me and laughs.
I strap Lillie in her car seat and get in the car my self and drive out of the car park and into Evie~leigh's school.Its only next door to the nursery which is good. I unbuckle Lillie out of her car seat and sit her on my hip as we walk into the school reception and wait at the door until Evie comes.
Afew minutes go bye and i was day dreaming when i hear my favourite voice. My evie. She comes running up too me as she jumps onto me.
E-"mummy, mummy i draw you a picture"
she says all excited about it.
C-" aww thank you baby let me see"
I quickly thank her teacher before walking out one arm holding onto Lillie~may and one arm around Evie~leigh's shoulder as she shows me her picture she drew me.
C-" i love it Ev thank you i'm going to keep it forever" i say kissing the top of her head"
She smiles up at me; we arrive at the car and i open the door for Evie too climb over too her seat as she puts her seatbelt on herself while i strap Lillie in.
C-" ready too go girls?" i look up into the mirror
E-"yes!" evie says extaticly while Lillie just babbles away too herself as usual playing with her crinkly toy.
10 Minutes later.
We arrive at home and Scott's car isn't on the drive; he will have gone out drinking with his friends as usual. I don't even care because that means i have the evening to myself with the girls so i can get them bathed and into bed before he gets home.
I get out and open both doors and unstrap Lillie out of her car seat while Evie gets herself out.
E-" Mummy is dad not at home?"
C-" No baby he's not today i think he's just abit busy with work"
It breaks my heart how she still sees him as her dad after everything he does but she doesn't know she thinks so much of him even though he's never there too meet them standards of hers.
I unlock the door and kick off my shoes and put Lillie down on her play mat while Evie jumps onto the sofa next to me and cuddles into me.
E-"I've missed you today mummy"
My eyes water at the comment she just made.
C-"I've missed you too, should we put something on the tv and have a chill out today?"
E-"yes please can we watch inside out"
I knew she would say inside out it's her favourite movie ever.
C-" yeah of course" i say turning the Tv onto disney+
Lillie starts fussing on her play mat so i stand up quickly and pick her up gently rocking her in my arms and sitting back on the sofa with Evie.
C-"shhh shh Mamas here"
She eventually stops fussing and relaxes in my arms looking like she's about too fall asleep"
1 hour later.
Lillie has fell asleep and Evie is getting tired so i thought i should make Evie some tea and Lillie a bottle before i put them too bed. They both have snacks at school and nursery so they are never that hungry after i pick them up so i just made a small bottle for Lillie and a turkey dinosaur and smiley faces for Evie.
15 Minutes later and they are done i walk into the living room and tell Evie her food is done and pick Lillie up off the sofa and rock her in my arms. I quickly ran upstairs with Lillie and got a baby grow and nappy for her too change into and bring her back down stairs too get her changed on the sofa. She wakes up while i'm changing her and starts crying.C-" Shh shhh it's okay baby" she just keeps on crying, i put her new nappy on as fast as i can and button up her baby grow.
I walk back in to the kitchen cradling Lillie finding her bottle and feeding it too her and sitting down where Evie is watching the Tv while eating her food.
She finishes eating so we all walk upstairs and i put Lillie too bed. I didn't even need too stay and rock her too sleep she just went off straight away.
I walked into Evie~leigh's room where she is rummaging through her pajamas.
C-" can you find a pair"
E-" hmm i don't think i have an- yes i do my frozen ones" i laugh at her as she starts putting her pajamas on i sit on the end of her bed waiting for her. She climbs into bed and stand up too tuck her in.
I feel bad for not being able to spend all my time with Evie but she understands she's a good kid.
E-" mummy can you stay in my bed tonight i'm scared"
C-"yeah of course baby but what are you scared about?" i ask
E-" the monsters"
C-"It's okay they aren't real you're safe with me" i rap my arms around her so she feel safe.
E-" goodnight mummy"
C-" goodnight baby"
Around 4 hours later.
It's 3 in the morning and i wake up too hear Lillie crying.I jump up out of bed and into Lillie's room too find her screaming crying. What could possibly have her this upset?
I cradle her in my arms rubbing her back while picking up the left over bottle from yesterday.
C-"Shhh shhh" i walk her into my bedroom too find it still empty, No scott. I layed her down and i thought about Evie. If she wakes up and sees i'm not there she's going to be scared.I got Lillie settled and walking into Evie's room and picked her up and walked into my room laying her down on my bed.
I'm still in my dress from yesterday so i quickly put some pajamas on and get back into bed.
