Kane is now pissed off and he isn't even hiding it from me. He folds his arms and looks at me, clicking his tongue
Me: what ??
Kane: mxm, why did you do that ??
Me: Do what ??
Kane: Hit your tummy after the babies kicked when I touched your tummy
Me: (shrugs)
Kane: what are you doing ??
Me: nothing !
Kane: don’t… (lowers his voice) Come to me with that shit.
Me: ow boo hoo kane.
Kane: Don’t you want them to react when their father touches their tummy
Me: maybe I don’t
Kane: excuse me
Me: Yah. They must not kick
Kane: (gives me a death stare) You already blocked my number from calling you, why are you doing this. Don’t you want these kids to be with their father
Me: vele ang'funi !
Litha: Whats wrong ??
Everyone was looking at us.
Me & Kane: Nothing
We look at one another.
Kane: we need to talk
Me: Ang'funi !
He stand up and leaves. I follow him, not giving a damn about anyone in the room. He was standing near the kitchen counter, with the water heating up in the kettle. He turns around and looks at me, I was folding my hands.
Kane: You don’t want me in their lives
I look away, he comes towards me and pulls me so I can look at him
Kane: Say it to my face, and be honest
Me: Maybe I don’t…
He looks away and looks at me with his eyes red like he wanted to cry.
Kane: its fine, thank you. And I hope you make a great single parent since you don’t want me in their lives.
He moves away from me and leaves. I wipe my tears and then go back
Kane: uhmm, guys I have to leave. Something urgent came up.
Phindi: awww
He turns around, looks at me, Smiles and goes upstairs. Maila comes to me
Maila: I know what you are doing and you are going to regret your decision
Me: (rolls eyes) its final
Maila: don’t do that Kamo
Me: can we get this baby shower over and done with so I can leave
I move away from them and go sit on my chair. They start distributing presents and kingston, Matthew and Anathi leave. Kane Comes downstairs wearing a suit and I look at him, he sees me, I roll my eyes at him and rest my chin on my hand. He goes to litha, phindi, Maila and the twins and hugs them one by one. He turns to me, looks me in the eyes and moves closer to me.
Me: Move tuu, they are opening up my presents
Kane: Can I get 2 minutes of your time
I sit up and he holds my tummy.
Kane: im not asking for much, Please do me a huge favour and name the 2 boys Nceba and Khanyani for me
My heart was slowly piercing. I wanted to cry but I kept my cool.
Kane: im out of your lives for good now. This is what you wanted right, so I am staying away. I won't come anywhere near you or the kids okay.
I look away
Kane: Thanks for… everything.
He hugs my tummy and they kick again. He smiles and then kisses my tummy. He looks at me and kisses me passionately
Litha: Ncoahhh
He breaks the kiss and wipes my tears which were rolling down my cheeks
Kane: im giving you what you want right. This is what you want right ??
I look away, wiping my tears
Kane: goodbye Miyah.
He walks away and turns around to look at me. He turns back again and walks out, closing the door on his way out. I wipe my tears and focus back on them. Maila looks at me and shakes her head. I knew I messed up, but… (sighs) what can I say. It was all for my children and the twins
