M/n POV:
“Off With Your Head!” Riddle says, a red and black collar appears around Grim’s neck. “MYAH?! What are you doing?!” Grim asks in surprise. “The Queen of Heart's Rule 23: "One must never bring a cat to a formal affair." Your very presence here is a violation of order. You will vacate these premises immediately.” Riddle states. “But I ain't a cat either! Don't try to collar me! I'll burn it right off! Huh...? Wh-what gives? My fire ain't workin'!” Grim asks in fear.“Until I deign to remove that collar, you won't be using any magic. You're naught but a pet cat now.” Riddle says, crossing his arms. “M-meoWHAT?! I ain't nobody's pet-NOTHING!” Grim retaliates. “Oh, you've nothing to worry about there. I certainly have no interest in having you as a pet. The collar will disappear once you're removed from campus.” Riddle counters.
“Ha-HA! Good show as always, Riddle. You're signature spell locks down any magic. It's quite handy. I've just GOT to have it—ah, I mean, I've just got to have respect for it.” Azul says. ‘Azul is on the suspicious list, got it’ “M/n! Was I not clear that you are expected to take responsibility for your familiar? Now discipline your—What's that? It isn't yours?” Crowley asks. “No that thing isn’t mine! I’ve told you that multiple times! Bur your selective hearing got in the way!” I shout at him.
“Oh...Is that so? *Ahem* Then I shall have it expelled from campus. I shall even spare it from being served as dinner. My, but I AM kind. ...Someone take this away, please.” Crowley says in embarrassment. “Nooooo! Let me gooooo! You fools better remember my name! Cause I'm gonna go down in the annals of magic history! Just you wait!” Grim screams as hes taken out of the room.
“Normally I’d feel bad, but he’s bee cousin chaos.” I state plainly to myself. “Well, that was quite the unexpected fracas. I hereby declare that orientation has concluded. Housewardens, please escort your students back to the dorms....Hm? Come to think of it, I don't see Housewarden Draconia of House Diasomnia anywhere.” Crowley observes.
“And that surprises you? Dude's a total recluse.” the boy with lion ears says. “Wait a sec... Did anyone even invite him?” the red eyed boy asks worriedly. “If you're that worried about him missing out, maybe you should have told him yourself.” the handsome boy counters. “Maybe, but I don't know him too well either…” the boy with red eyes mumbles. “Draconia... Like, Malleus Draconia? THAT Draconia?” a student mumbles to another. “So it's true? He really does go to school here?” another asks. “Yikes.” one says.
“Hold on, let me get this straight. You all held this oh so important ceremony, but because some dude is more isolated and doesn’t talk to you, you don’t invite him? That’s just fucking sad, I though College students would know better.” I state coldly. Everyone goes silent, I get a glare here and there, but no one speaks up. “I never thought I’d hear someone stick up for him. I figured I'd come down and see for myself whether Malleus had made an appearance. But once again, he was evidently not informed that his presence was required at an official ceremony.” a boy with a deep voice says.
“You have my sincerest apologies. I assure you, this oversight was in no way intended as a snub.” Azul says. “I mean, you must admit, he's not exactly the easiest person to strike up a conversation with.” Riddle says. “Do any of you even try to strike up a conversation with him?” I ask. The room goes silent, “That's what I thought.” I say coldly. “No matter. All who were assigned to House Diasomnia, follow me. I just hope he doesn't sulk about this.” the boy with the deep voice says.
Before he leaves I call out,”Give him my condolences, I hope to meet him sometime.” The boy looks at me in surprise before smirking, “I’ll be sure to inform him.” he says before he leads his fellow dorm members out of the room. After everyone leaves Crowley speaks up, “Well, M/n. This is a most unfortunate turn of events. I'm afraid that you will not be attending Night Raven Collage after all. Surely you realize that I cannot very well admit a student with no magical ability to my academy. But worry not. The Dark Mirror will see you safely home. Now, step into the gate, and visualize the place you whence you came.” Crowley states.
I do as he asks and think of home back in the Pink Palace Apartments. “O Dark Mirror! Return this soul to where it belongs!” Crowley chants. The mirror stays silent. “*Ahem* L-let us, er...try this again. O Dark Mirror! Return this soul—” Crowley starts. “There is no such place.” the mirror states. “What?” Crowley asks in disbelief. I think a bit, ‘I’m probably from a different world, it would make sense since magic was foreign to me until now, unless you count the dreaded other world’ I shuttered at the thought, Wuss Puss rubbed his head against me and I pet him.
“There is no place in this world where this soul belongs. None.” the mirror says. “How can that be? My, but today is a veritable cavalcade of impossible phenomena!” Crowley says. The mirror stays silent and Crowley turns to me. “This has never happended throughout my long tenure. I must confess that I am at something of a loss. Tell me: From what land do you hail?” Crowley asks. “Ashland, Oregon.” I reply. “I'm afraid I am not familiar with such a place. I am intimately acquainted with the origins of every student who has ever come here, and yet...This mysterious homeland of your eludes me. Let us go to the library and look it up, shall we?” Crowley asks.
