Third person pov
You stood there as you watched your girlfriend fly the small aircraft in the air. Your feet were soaking in the water as you watched in awe Laura Lee might actually find help, that the team will be able to go back to the real world and not be stuck in the fucking wilderness wondering if tomorrow you might die. You watched at the aircraft got small and smaller, then you see smoke coming out of the it. The sinking feeling was creeping up into you as the plane slightly dropped then before you know it there was nothing but fall debris.
You watched as your girlfriend exploded in the fucking air and there was nothing you could to do to stop it from happening. The gasp and eerie silence were heard as you can hear light cries around you but that slowly faded away as you fell on your knees. The world didn't stop for you but you stopped. You watched as the pieces fell into the lake like shooting stars in the sky. Then you cried out, tears fell from your eyes as you couldn't believe what you watched.
You told Laura Lee it was a bad idea, but she wanted to do it either way, not for herself, the team for you, she saw how the wilderness was as affecting you and Laura Lee was the only one keeping you ground. She would help you with anything, you would pray with her in the morning which was a sweet gesture to her. You would at times sneak some more of your rations for her so she would have more energy which she never knew. Now you watched the girl you have loved since you were in middle school die in front of you. Your thoughts ran wild, how could god be so cruel to you?
