I am unruly in the stands
I am a rock on top of the sand
I am a fist amidst the hands
And I break it just because I canJesse look at the girl and mutter : "Chaos..."
She takes a step back and tries to walk away. Almost immediately, she gets stuck by an invisible wall. She tries to punch it but only bruises her hand. She turn around to face the figure waiting for her and speak in a firm voice where a little annoyance and concern can be heard.
"You.... What do you want ?"
The girl walks closer to her and chuckle. Jesse can feel her feet getting stuck on the ground by a sort of shadow that's solidifying itself around her legs. Panic starts to rise as she realizes the girl is trying to trap her here.
"Nothing much. I'm just helping you out you know ?"Chaos responds. Her voice is distorted and gives Jesse a headache... She has to get out of here. And quickly.
"... You won't trick me like that. I know you too well."
"You do ? Oh well. That doesn't change that I am in control. Not you. You're just weak.." She smirks as the shadows continues to crawl further on Jesse's legs, immobilizing her.
Jesse tries to scream for help while banging on the wall but quickly give up, knowing it won't help her. Her fists are hurting, the skin from her knuckles starting to bruise up. Instead, she hits her head against the invisible wall as hard as she can. Again and again, until she starts feeling numb.
The black space disappear, and her vision slowly readapt itself to her surroundings. The people have stepped back and Zero seems exhausted. She has a wound on her right arm and Jesse's wrist is hurting her pretty badly. She doesn't know what's happening. The injuries on her knuckles are gone...but she can still feel them.
Jesse then notice that she is holding what looks like a completely black knife, probably made of shadows like the one that immobilized her earlier. People are whispering around the both of them but Zero turn around and walk away. They then starts to do the same, ignoring Jesse and the knife that she's holding. After all, it's kind of normal for a house full of killers so... it's not that surprising.
While people walk away, Jesse's gaze meet with a girl with a brown eye and a blind one. She could swear that she knew her but.... She suddenly disappeared. Without even walking away. One moment she was there, the other she wasn't. ... What the fuck is going on...? Is she hallucinating again ?
Jesse all on the floor from exhaustion, not having the energy to walk to the infirmary for her wrist. She just sits there for a good five minutes. Someone put their hand on her shoulder but she refuses to turn around, scared of seeing a familiar face with purple eyes.
"H-Hey. Do you mind standing u-up ? You're in the w-way."
The person walks in front of her. It seems to be a boy with fluffy brown hair and a slight resemblance to Cody. He's wearing a grey mask that's hiding his mouth and orange goggles. Jesse doesn't move at first but then stand up, her wrist still hurting her. That's...Toby ? What is one of the known proxies doing talking to her this time- has she got herself in trouble ?
"I get it I get it. But did I saw you somewhere ?"
The boy ignore her and walks away, unbothered. What a d-ck.... Suddenly, Jesse's phone ring and she can see a message on it. It's from an unknown number.
"Go away from the manor. Go to the abandoned house in the woods." Jesse's eyebrows raise in surprise. Who sent her this ? And why though ?
She put her phone back in her pocket and decide not think about it for the next minutes. Instead, she decide to go check if she could go eat something at the kitchen. Who knows, maybe something actually edible is just laying there, waiting to be eaten.
