Chapter 4

**Shouta - in the kitchen with Doctor**

Doctor: "Please do not over react to this."

Shouta: "Why would we overreact?"

Doctor: "Actually.. I will tell you more about Shimo's quirk first."

The doctor riffled through a stack of paper beside her before pulling out a couple pieces.

Doctor: "Shimo has 125% DNA. When he was born he was half dead. We needed blood transfer immediately, however we were not willing to take it from a seven year old child - Shimo's brother."

She turned a piece of paper around and showed it to us.

Doctor: "There was one other match for his blood type in the hospital at that time. He was a villain recently brought in for questioning and had sustained a grave injury to the head. Takami had the correct blood type so we used his blood. It must have affected Shimo because Takami's quirk seems to have hightened Shimo's already powerful quirk."

The man on the page had feathers growing out of his arms.

Shouta: "So you are saying that Shimo is 25% a villains son?"

Doctor: "Yes and no. His DNA fused with Takami's and has combined the quirk he was originally going to manifest with the wings."

She pulled out another piece of paper and took a shaky breath before placing it down on the table.

Doctor: "Shimo is a hidden child of a hero. The number two hero to be precise. He is a twin with what Endeavor always called his youngest son, Shoto. All records except from his birth certificate and this medical record have been deleted or locked away."

Anger rushed through me, my fists clenching.

Shouta: "So you are saying that Shimo was abused by his father, the number two hero Endeavor. The one who was known to have a loving family. That piece of absolute sh[]t I am going to f[]cking-"

Hizashi: "Shouta calm down. We have the hero licencing exams in two days. Don't get yourself thrown in jail."

I wasn't going to do that but I had to pretend at most.

Shouta: "Fine."

Hizashi gave a small smile then turned back to  the doctor.

Hizashi: "Do you have any thing else on Shimo at all?"

Doctor: "No unfortunately. The only records we have are the medical record I just told you about and his birth certificate. There is a doctor who saw to Shimo yesterday though - he looks after the hero family's - and he told me that Shimo was an exact replica of Touya Todoroki when he was younger. If that is so he needs to be careful using his fire as it might burn him."

I nodded slowly, making a mental note.

Shouta: "So always have a fire extinguisher on standby. Got it."

Hizashi rolled his and I glared at him. I wasn't joking, I am not having the flat burn down.

Doctor: "I know I don't have any right to intrude ErasureHead and Present Mic but.. what are you going to do with Shimo. You can't send him back to Endeavor after hearing this, but you don't seem to have any room here to keep him. You can't leave him here whilst you do your exams either, it will be far too dangerous."

Shouta: "I dont know. But I promise this.

I will never let Shimo get hurt.

Even if it is the last thing I do."
