The small corner café was bathed in warm sunlight and filled with the soft aroma of cinnamon and vanilla. It was the kind of place people came to feel at peace. A place that felt like home.

Behind the counter stood Jeon Jungkook, sleeves rolled up, apron tied neatly around his slim waist, as he arranged pastries in the display case with delicate precision. His long lashes fluttered when he blinked, and a small pout formed on his lips every time he concentrated too hard. The light from the window touched his skin, giving it a soft glow, like he was carved from something unreal.

He wasn't just beautiful.

He was ethereal.

Doe-like eyes, soft pink lips, and silky brown hair that curled just beneath his ears-he looked more like a doll than a boy. But there was something deeper too. A spark in his eyes that hinted at mischief, a strength in his posture that suggested he wasn't as fragile as he seemed.

"Jungkook-ah," his manager called from the kitchen.

"Yes, hyung?"

"Can you handle the front? I need to run to the market for more cream."

"Got it," Jungkook replied, flashing a quick thumbs-up.

He moved behind the register, wiping the counter and humming softly to himself. Customers came and went, many of them sneaking second glances at the pretty boy with the soft smile.

But Jungkook didn't notice. Or maybe he just didn't care.

His mind was elsewhere-on the bills waiting at home, on his mother's upcoming check-up, on how he could pick up another shift without burning out. Life hadn't been easy, but Jungkook always met it with grace and grit.

As he filled another coffee order, a familiar voice called out from the entrance.

"There you are, you bun-faced beauty!"

Jungkook looked up and rolled his eyes affectionately. "Jimin."

Park Jimin waltzed in with a grin, plopping himself down at the counter.

"I swear, you glow more every time I see you. Who are you trying to seduce, huh?"

"No one. I'm just working."

Jimin smirked. "Well, someone's going to fall in love with you eventually. Probably when they least expect it."

Jungkook laughed, not knowing just how right his best friend would be.

Because fate had already started writing a story that would change everything.

Jungkook wiped his hands on a napkin as he stepped out of the café, the late afternoon sun glowing gold against the streets of Seoul. He'd just finished his shift and was heading toward the crosswalk while texting Jimin to confirm their dinner plans. With his head down, he didn't notice the figure striding around the corner until-

Smack!

Jungkook collided head-first into a firm, solid chest.

"Yah!" he yelped, stumbling back onto the sidewalk.

The coffee he had been sipping splashed up and landed all over his shirt.

"Seriously?!"

He looked up, ready to throw the most dramatic glare in his arsenal, but stopped when his eyes met a stranger's intense gaze. The man wore an all-black suit that screamed expensive, topped with a black face mask and matching gloves. His sharp jawline and dark hair peeked out from under a cap, making him look like some undercover celebrity.
