Twelve days later after her punishment, it was the day of the General's visit. It was announced that the scholars have a chance to practice their skills in that certain field. However, only those who are brilliant among their respective fields can be selected.

Everyone was hoping to be selected since it is an opportunity for a better future, well almost everyone. Arsha dislikes the idea of working in the palace. The king lives there! He was the one who declared to behead every dark thaumaturgist, and most importantly, the General! She would not last a day in the same place with the General. A shiver runs down her spine just by thinking about it. She would not wish to encounter her enemy.

"Arsha!" Someone called her that snaps her back to reality

"Ah, yes?"

"What are you even thinking about? You're so lost in thought," Remedy said. She was from the field of healers.

"I was thinking of a man to sell my body to." She contagiously laughed about her sarcastic remark. Remedy pulled her hair rapidly.

"Don't take them seriously. You know people, they just love to spread lies so that they can feel better about themselves; they're insecure," Arsha only shrugs.

"What do you need?" She asked while she put down her reed stylus and gazed at her.

"Master wants me to inform you that you have some errands to do, there's a herbal plant by the river where the flower of it looks like little crowns, so you should be able to find it easily."She added and smiled after that she bid goodbye, Arsha nod in response, Master Shudah loves ordering Arsha around. Well not that she complains about it since it's a great way to escape this place.

When she arrived at the river she immediately went and looked for a plant that is described as similar to tiny crowns.

"You finally came." She was startled when she heard someone's voice , she turned around and saw a man with a nice build, standing there wearing a white short cloak with silver linen that only covered his head to his shoulder.

"Who are you?" She squinted her eyes to see him more clearly. he noticed that she was trying to see his face, he finally decided to walk towards her and took off his cloak.

"The name's Akael." She was amazed when she saw his face. This is the first time she is seeing someone with silver hair and silver eyes. He looks like a person whose features are perfectly and gently crafted. He is extremely handsome.

" Are you done checking me out?" He chuckled. She raised her eyebrow as she gazed at him.

"You're one odd-looking guy." she said frankly. The man laughed in response.

"That's not what I heard, Harshava— dark thaumaturgist."  He stared at her eyes to see her reaction, and she did not fail him. Her eyes widened, and she stepped back four steps and looked around. She then turned her attention to him.

"How did you know my name? And I'm a dark thaumaturgist? Don't insult me with those words." she calmly replied showing him no other emotion.

"I just love how you're convincing me righ
t now." he said with a sneer.

"Convincing you? It's a fact don't act like you know me to be sure that I'm one of them." She confidently stated, suddenly the odd man burst into laughter, he was amused about her constantly denying and he's loving it. She looks at him weirdly. Is he using taboo medicine? She thought to herself. The man stopped from laughing, his face was now serious causing her skin to shiver.

"You don't know me, Harshava Ardhan but I know you. Lying will not help and convincing me will not work as well, but don't worry I do not plan to expose your secret." There he is again calling her byq her full name, it terrified her since only a few people know her name.
