Okay so Ik I'm not really up to date when something new happens with the band but I will make sure I address it...like Brian's stroke I talked about that a few days after it happened and it's been a few days since this too but I wanted to make sure I still got to talk about it. The motivation to update my stuff is kinda lacking rn so I'm trying to beat that rn.

So Brian and Roger remastered and rereleased queen 1...I haven't listened to all the tracks but I honestly don't really think I want to.

 A while back I saw that all the videos for queen 1 on the YouTube channel for queen were gone, the music vids for liar and keep yourself alive were taken down along with the lyric vids for the other songs. I thought that was really weird and didn't know what that was all about, but then I saw Brian talking about the rerelease of queen 1 and that got me really excited.

They made a remix and video for the night comes down, I saw it a few days ago anddd I didn't have the brightest thoughts about it...

It's not all bad, the drums and bass do sound better as Roger had stated many times that he hated how the drums sounded on the album and I will say that he's right and that they definitely sound improved on there. The guitar is good too, but the opening guitar intro was taken off and it just started off close to when the lyrics started. I wasn't a fan of that.

Speaking about the lyrics, this is the worst thing about the song but I'll have plenty to say about the video too.

The vocals are clearer, sure, but HOW DARE THEY, AND I MEAN HOW DARE THEY USE AUTOTUNE. FREDDIE FUCKING MERCURY'S VOICE WAS AUTOTUNED ON THE REMAKE AND LET's BE CLEAR THAT AUTOTUNE IS COMPLETE SHIT. LIKE FREDDIE GETTING AUTOTUNED?! FREDDIE!?

Yeah. Now for the video, that was another huge disappointment. There is so much queen footage to use, and there was footage from the rainbow and hammersmith odeon 75 that was used, but a lot of it was also done with ai making pictures of them in their early years look live.

I thought it looked like shit to be honest, because ai is shit. Out of all the footage to be used, they have to resort to ai instead of finding it or worse comes to worse just using animation like they did for all dead all dead, was it all worth it, save me and other songs? Please, please just no. 

Freddie said once that technology would get so advanced that it would corrupt music. Can you say he's wrong? This just proved it...and with how excited Brian seemed about all this I find that to be odd too as it doesn't feel like he would have previously been on board with that.

I really don't know, I just feel like this was not needed. If they wanted to just redo the drums so they sounded more 'alive' as Roger said, that'd be absolutely fine. But autotune and AI? Hard pass...Swifties don't kill me for this but if they really turn into Taylor Swift and start rereleasing all their shit and do more of the ai I'm gonna be very disappointed. No one needs that. The album was loved either way, and I feel like they should have just left it alone. I'm sorry, but that's how I feel about this.
