brief backstory ⌇ silas erikson xavier-black was born with the word mistake written all over him. coming from a brief college fling between delilah and charles. growing up, he remained with his mother and saw very little of his father. whether that be from how busy he was or the guilt, he wasn't sure. but it led to a lot of resentment on his end. especially given how cruel of a woman his mother turned out to be.
⠀⠀a few days after his fifteenth birthday, his mutation emerged and it landed him in a deadly ordeal. his subconscious knew it needed to protect itself and it cost the life of the only person her knew. this caused him to be shipped off to live with his father.
⠀⠀he was taught to control his abilities and only react when he truly needed to. a skill he would continue to work on well into adulthood. but that resentment was still there, an anger for leaving him alone for so many years. he acted out often. in hopes of teaching him more discipline, he was placed on the x-men team.
⠀⠀rather than the events of the dark phoenix, it was silas who ultimately came into contact with the phoenix force. it attached itself into his very psyche, backtracking all of the steps he'd made to control his mutation. he became much more unstable.
⠀⠀he fled from the school in hopes of finding a place less overwhelming. he wanted to figure this out on his own. he ended up back in england. dodging every hand that offered him help.
⠀⠀eventually he did come back and made a life for himself away from his father's legacy.
